    Tore Up Gt500

He can stay with the 8.8, get another housing and have the axle tubes welded. That is the cheapest route. If he is going to stay with the manual trans in the GT500 the I would spend the money and get a drop in 9 inch from Currie and be done with rear problems. Currie makes a complete drop in 9...

    Turbo Vs Supercharger..which Is Better?

The biggest problem with a PD blower, on the 5.0, is traction. The way the trans are geared all the low end torque, from a PD blower, just blows the tires off. That's why I said a centrifugal supercharger is a much better DD setup. Now to me the best of both worlds is a turbo setup. A properly...

    Turbo Vs Supercharger..which Is Better?

There isn't much delay with the Paxton, just makes it easier to drive on a daily basis. The auto tune for the 13's is not available yet but I would never use the stock tune with a kit anyway. Always get a good dyno tune, for your individual setup, when you start adding boost to the equation.

    Turbo Vs Supercharger..which Is Better?

This debate has gone on forever and will never be resolved. For your car I would go with the Paxton setup. It is reasonably priced, is a proven combination and is easy to install. There aren't any good single turbo kits for the new 5.0. There are a couple of twin kits, but I don't think it's...

    On3performance Turbo Install On A 2005 Gt

It usually connects to the axle back piping. The exhaust on a turbo doesn't sound like NA or Supercharger. The turbo takes out some loudness, so the exhaust it quieter then without a turbo. You also want to run straight threw mufflers with a turbo, not chambered types. You want the least...

    On3performance Turbo Install On A 2005 Gt

Long tube headers are the last thing you want on a turbo setup. With a turbo setup you want the exhaust as short as possible into the turbo. Long tube headers are great for NA and Supercharger setups but are not for turbo's. There isn't anything wrong with the hot piping on the S&H kit. A single...

What's your recommendation on a 1 piece spark plug for an 05 GT

As far as I know there are only 2 one piece plugs for the early design heads, Brisk and Champion. I wouldn't put Champion plugs in my lawn mower much less my Mustang. I have run Brisk plugs in mine but I prefer the Ford plugs. There are lots of complaints about the Brisk plugs and I wouldn't...

    Advice on supercharger

They have guys making 450, on the stock block, up to 700+ with built bottom ends. It all depends on what you want to do with it. Give Bobby, his number is on the web site, a call and he can answer all your questions. Earl

    Longtube Headers With Catts?

The car will not pass emissions with L/T's and catted mid pipe in CA. Everything in CA requires a CARB number and there aren't any L/T headers with a CARB number, that I am aware of. Earl

    Drag Radial's.

Op do you have an extra set of wheels? What size wheels are you going to use? M&H make a very good DR, the Nitto 555R is a great tire for DD but not very good for the track. The new Nitto 05R's are a much better track tire. Earl

Suspension What might be my issue with stability?

Op install a set of these Steeda springs, http://www.steeda.com/store/steeda-s197-mustang-sport-springs.html to go with your Koni's. They don't drop the car very much and your back will thank you. I also have a bad back and with the Steeda springs, I have Tokico D-Specs, the car handles 3 time...

Suspension What might be my issue with stability?

Install a Watts Link and get rid of the Panhard bar. Under hard braking the rear is moving around because the Panhard moves in an arc, so the rear body goes left and right as it travels. I have the Steeda Watts but this is a new version and looks very nice...

    Daily Driver

With the altitude in CO the only way you will have any fun driving with a little 4 banger is with the ST. I would get the ST for a DD in your location and have fun in the summer months. Earl

Forced Induction Supercharging My 05 4.6

Get the GT500, with just a couple of fairly inexpensive mods it will be making 600rwhp. If you are having someone do the work on yours it would take about $30,000, or more, on your 05 to come close to the GT500 and you would still only have an 05 GT as far as value. Earl

    Drivetrain Front Pump Seal?

Is your car FI, do you run it hard? The 5R55S trans has a vent line that empties into the front of the case. If you runt it hard it will vent a little fluid into the case. I think the Stealership is just trying to get you to pay for a trans rebuild myself. Get this kit from JDM...

    Wheels and Tires...HELP...07 GT

If you go with the Racestars get the direct drill models. The uni-lugs are a royal pain to use. Racestar even recommend not using the uni-lug on the rear with more then 450 rwhp. Earl
