    Welp, the shaker is out.......

Totally understand the HP advantage of the torker and have thought alot about it. With the 185s instead of 205s a RPM or stealth seems more beneficial on the street even if milled. Seen alot of proven 393s with the RPM but not much with tthe torker i guess

    Welp, the shaker is out.......

yea it does work, Im surfing now looking for the article, Im pretty sure it was CarCraft where I seen it. to me it seems like the best option, for us who would sacrifice power for the shaker. Its almost free power and better than chopping into a $500 shaker!

    Welp, the shaker is out.......

How bout this option, get a stealth or RPM and have the dual plane plate milled down to make it act more like a single plane. Im curious how this works out cause its almost exactly the combo i want.

    Oil grade?

the ford service manual for a 96 says 5w-30, 10w-30 for moderate to hot climates. i used 5w-30 synthetic on my first oil change since i bought it and too am curious if anyone runs the 10w-30 in hotter climates, the valvetrain tick is annoying

    tuner for fans users Qs?

My 96 cobra has a C&R radiator and 180 thermostat. the low speed comes on right before the "M" and the high speed dont come on til right before the "L". to me that seems really high. i want to turn the fans on earlier. I called hypertech and superchips and they both told me that their tuners...

My 96 cobra's high speed fan isnt working(A/C or when it gets above "A") The ford service manual points right at the powertrain control module. My questions before oi buy the parts or have ford look at it is this. How many sensors are there? is there one for low speed fan at a designated temp...

Mystery Engine In My 65 Stang

Yep, everyones right. Ive been in the "bastard motor" scenario before, even put together a few. 1320stang is right with all the different combos. I would definitly try to determine if its a roller block(ecspecially before you replace distributor!!) its just real nice to know what you have so...

    Cooling and tuner questions

Today after driving around for bout an hour my 96 cobra started running to the "a" on the temp guage anytime the A/C was on. I was driving and couldnt hear the fan kick over to high speed. I came home and started researching but got a few questions. 1. How hot is "a"? 2. Does the fan kick to...

Mystery Engine In My 65 Stang

Id try the 351 and 5.0HO firing order, and if it runs great you know. also check casting numbers on everything:timing cover, water pump, anything that is ford. Also dont the early 289s have one less bellhousing bolt than newer ones? It also may be interested if you find an 1980s or 90s casting...

Received Two Different Answers From Manufactures on 393 Stroker

I would definitly say the 205s would produce tons of torque with a stroker and RPM intake. I tried real quick with Engine Analyzer to run this combo. Whatever i do it only gives a few HP credit to a stroker, anyone know what im doing wrong? That is the motor Im gonna build so im real interested...

    4.6 differences

engine size the ford catalog says the SOHCs are 28 inches wide and the 460 is 26. I got a 460 in my 88 stang and a 96 cobra so ill do some measuring. are the 99+ plug arrangement like you said "boss 429" style even on SOHC. what year of mark8s are DOHCs. is that the only other cars besides...

    4.6 differences

differences "weaker" does sound pretty dumb now. I was questioning internal durability. I want to put it in a 69 fastback. i know even the SOHCs are bigger in size than a 460. So if i find any SOHC motor the PI swap can come later? All aftermarket computer programmers list pretty much all 4.6s...
