    Need a little help guys

I finally got my car to the track last night to make a few passes. This was the first time that i had ran it with the new motor and trans in it, and although i know it has a lot of potential, i just need a few pointer as to what would cause a problem like i had with the car. First off the track...

347 Stroker... what power do they make?

Hey man, i would go with a 408-427ci stroker. I was in the same situation you are in about a year ago. The little extra work its going to take to put the 400+ci windsor in there is worth it. The way i looked at it was, i am building a whole new motor to install in the car, so i will be buying...

Manual Valve Body guys ... talk to me!

I dont know of anyone that makes a MVB for the 4r70w but there has to be someone out there. I am not talking you out of it at all, i love mine, but mine is not a DD, if that is what you want go for it by all means, not like you cant change it back if you dont like it. Anthony 427w

Manual Valve Body guys ... talk to me!

Depending on how loose a converter you get it shouldnt shift that hard. I have a 3600 in mine and under normal acceleration it shouldnt shift that hard. The harder you are on the throttle the hard it shifts. I missed the part about you daily driving the car, if you are going to do that i wouldnt...

Manual Valve Body guys ... talk to me!

i drive mine on the street all the time with a MVB. Just make sure you dont downshift to slow the car down and make sure that you put it back in first before you take off. That was the hardest thing for me to remember when you are used to driving a regular auto. Good luck! Anthony 427w

    Need 375+ RWHP naturally aspirated

Why dont you go with a bigger set of heads like the AFR 205's or some Dart 195's? They will work fine on a 331 or 347 and make some great HP to go along with it, get a nice custom cam and you should make some decent HP with it. Anthony 427w

    PMS???

The only reason i say to get a wideband is that if you live in a region where the climate can change drastically, the wideband is a great tool for keeping an eye on things. A lot of guys use the LM-1, i chose the Dynojet wideband commander only for the fact that it can datalog and it matches my...

    PMS???

It is a great system, if it is a series 4 then that is a good deal. It takes a little while to learn it but once you do you will have it tuned in no time. A wideband A/F gauge is a great tuning tool to have with the PMS, makes it a lot easier on your thumbs!

The Mickey Tompson ET street radials WOW

Well, i hope that i dont have too much trouble, these things are real soft and sticky, plus, i have never heated them up. I hope they hook, if not i will just go with a set of slicks. I drive the car on the street a lot that is why i went with these tires. It's a low compression motor (9.2:1)...

    low boost #s

Hey man, look for belt dust around the blower bracket, that is a sure sign that its slipping. Also, its not good to do all the time, but put some belt dressing on the belt and see if the boost numbers rise, if they do, that is sure sign there is belt slip. Sometimes depending on the belt you...

    Question about vortech fitment?

Hey guys, i have emailed Vortech with no reply, i was wondering if anyone knew if their standard 5.0l kit will fit a 351 also? I realize the belts will probably not fit, but as far as that, the other mounting points are the same between the 351 and the 302 right? If someone could clarify this i...

Car cut out while going down road

I just had the same problem with my car, it was the PIP sensor in the dizzy. If the fuel pump primes but it wont start that is probably it. My car would run for about 20 minutes and then shut off, no fuel, no spark, cooled off...it would start. It turned out it was the PIP sensor. Anthony

    Wide Band O2s

You can weld another bung in the collector without taking out one of your other 02 sensors, my wideband came with one. I am not going to recommend one, but a lot of guys use the Innovate LM-1. I persoanally use the dynojet wideband commander an love it. Anthony

    how big of a cam

The computer will run it, but that is a lot of duration. The duration i posted on mine is installed in a 427w. The original cam i had in mine the advertised duration was 308/318, i dont remember what the duration was @ .050 but i think it was about 245/254, but it was larger than the one i have...

    how big of a cam

Make sure you have a decent vacuum gauge on the car because depending on how long of a duration you go with it is going to decrease the vacuum at idle enough so that the brakes dont work. I am running a cam with 236/248 @.050 and my vacuum is right around 10" at idle. You will also more than...

    347 stroker help

The cam can make the car louder due to more fuel being burnt in the cylinders caused by more valve duration on the cam profile. The whistling sound that you here, are all your spark plugs tightened down correctly? Have you removed them? Start with the simple things. The backfiring, when you...
