Anyone with SN95 font suspension? 68?

Well, I liked the idea cause of all the aftermarket parts and the AJE kills that somewhat. Also I liked the idea of grabbing a wrecked 96+ gt and using everything (in a "little brother to the sn65" manor) - front suspension, full braking system, steering, engine, trans, rear-end, dash, console...

    Suspension decisions are killing me...

I'm curious too... also wondering, does the mustang steve kit work on the shelby drop spindles? if not, what are the options for a lower stance with his kit?

Does no one install R&P without a kit?

Great input. That makes sense, I guess I just didn't think about time and money trying different parts and what not...

Does no one install R&P without a kit?

Yeah, I understand all this. I guess it just surprises me that no one has done it and posted anything...

Does no one install R&P without a kit?

I've been looking everywhere... doesn't anyone just do something like grab a pump, hoses and the rack from a fox mustang (for example) and fab up some brackets to use this in a classic 'stang? It just seems ridiculous to me that a r&p kit would just about cost me what a MII kit (WITH r&p...

Anyone with SN95 font suspension? 68?

That sounds pretty sweet, but I'm still wondering if it can be done without a kit and how you all think it would compare, complexity wise, to installing an MII kit...

Anyone with SN95 font suspension? 68?

Well, my biggest question is, can this be done without a "kit." Rather, I want to grab a sn95 donor car and use it's entire front suspension and k-member (maybe a tubular upgrade?) and graft it into my 68.... then use the entire drivetrain...

Anyone with SN95 font suspension? 68?

Anyone with SN95 front suspension? 68? My dad just got back from World Ford Challenge in Indianapolis and said he saw a classic stang with sn95 suspension in front. He wants to use this on the 68 we're building rather than a MII kit. I like the idea cause there are so many parts...

    Noisy T5...Going Bad?

ahh, come on! I thought the same thing at first but then remembered that I knew nothing about cars (except how to change an 81 buick oil filter) when I tore into my perfect 88 TC to swap the turbo 4 for a HO 8...

    Lean + code 66 after "hot-pluggin" MAF

Thanks guys! I should have known better being that I work with this stuff and computers all the time... I just kinda shouted out "we didn't plug the mass air meter in!" and before I could process it he had it done! LOL, guess it's test time... thanks.

    Lean + code 66 after "hot-pluggin" MAF

Did a few things on my car (which included removing the maf) and when I first fired it back up it was idling funny and I realized I forgot to plug the MAF back in. So I had someone do it for me but I think plugging it in while the key was on/enging running may have fried it some how. I now...

    Please guys..begging for help...weird noise

Hey Rickey_Bobby, I have the problem you described! Did you fiugre it out? I have a new TOB so it's not that on mine either. Nothing when stopped, clutch in and revving... and when I'm coming to a stop sign I can put the clutch in and I hear the noise related to a spinning motion (clutch...

    Noisy T5...Going Bad?

Kinda an old post but none the less: I just developed this same sound (I described as "rocks tumbling around") in my drivetrain (T5 with about 25k, 7 year old king cobra clutch - still grabs great, adjusted properly). It's been getting worse. Also, when I roll up to a stop sign, if I put the...

    Finished my disk brake swap

Hey Kid760 (or anyone else), have you done this install (cobra brakes on stock v8 drum spindles - with this ebay kit of mustang steves kit)? I see you said to use sn95 wheels but will any sn95 wheel fit? I thought I read somewhere that some wheels hit the calipers... Also, where will this...

    Would these fit??

Hey 65fastbackresto, what height are you wheels? are they 17x10's? What wheels are they and where did you get them? Any luck getting pictures posted?

5.0, two chamber flows, San Diego PD...?

wow, ok, thanks.... still don't get the difference if it doesn't increase emissions, but what can I do... now I just have to figure what how I'm gonna do this with my negative amount of money...

5.0, two chamber flows, San Diego PD...?

Yeah, this is madness... thanks for all the info though! My problem is, if I go the replacement part route for the motor (yes, all smog stuff intact), then all the mustang 5.0 parts I have/wanted to get for my car (with CARB #'s) won't be legal cause my car is a Thunderbird? And as for the...

5.0, two chamber flows, San Diego PD...?

Well, I'll already have to go to a ref from what I understand. I've been told I can get them to allow my car to be smogged as an 88 Mustang and then all parts for that 88 Mustang will be legal on my car. So hopefully I can go that route without a lot of trouble. The other option is to have...

5.0, two chamber flows, San Diego PD...?

Good info, but frustrating... I like that CA is trying to do their part with pollution, but it's so dumb that you have to pass visual like that (or that strict). If you pass the sniffer you should be fine, that's it. So as for my shorties, those are illegal, too?
