    66 mustang fastback, like no other

    Anyone who says my Mustang is not "correct", will get an earful!! "Correct" is defined by the person whose name is on the title!! No one else. (And I've owned Mustangs since 1964, so I guess I'm an OF!) Incidentally, that's why my Mustang's nickname is "MCA 0".

    Absolutely keep the bar. It keeps the front stiffer, and makes the suspension work like it should. I added such a bar to my 97 Formula and the difference was amazing! (Got the idea from my son who put one in his Z3. That car was already a fantastic handling car and that made it even better.)...

    Oven cleaner for paint stripper?

    One thing that might make the pump loud is the way it is mounted. Mine is quiet but it floats in a foam sleeve within a sheet mount. (It's a Lincoln pump, just as it came from the Ford dealer.) Those 2 u-bolts you're using would make that a pretty solid mount, thereby carrying vibration to...

    I'm using Grenada fronts, ' 85 Cadillac Seville rears (they bolt right to a Grenada rear), hotrod booster and Corvette master cylinder. It all fits!

    What do I need to pass inspection

    Actually, the reason that some states have dropped inspection is that studies show NO IMPROVEMENT in accident rate when having inspection. 99+% of wrecks are driver related, so why expend the effort to inspect cars that rarely fail inspection for any real mechanical reason anyway?

    got some paint on almost done

    Looks great!!! I like the colors. I'm just finishing final primer coat on mine. Going with Black Cherry (metallic black basecoat, candy red clearcoat). Love seeing another 5.0!!

    What gauges to get?

    I say go with the Cobalt. They are similar to what I'm considering as "stage 2" of my 65 restomod, so I like 'em. Very easy to read, too.

    Putting a modern E-brake handle in a classic Mustan

    That is similar to what I did with my '65. However, I used a hot-rod brake assembly, and a '66 brake cable and equalizer. Made it much simpler. You can get the brake from several sources that advertise in the hot rod mags. No console in my car, so that wasn't an issue.
