    Are you going for a flat black look or a shiney polished gloss black look? I think the flat black will make them blend in with tires too much. If you can make them shine then it will look good.

    I think the top will look fine, and work fine It just looks darker since there is no light going through it and they are right behind each other. Once light goes through, it will work fine. Get a decent set of bulbs (Perhaps the Sylvania Ultras) and it will be fine.
