    Roadside emmisions testing

Showing my ignorance here, but this is applicable to all cars in those counties, or just ones less than a certain age? I recall looking at the Texas state laws regarding emissions testing (since I still live here), and IIRC, there was either a year model or a certain age beyond which the...

    When stroking an engine

The stroke increase is only part of the equation...it changes the whole dynamic via piston speed and position in the bore relative to crankshaft position. Cam timing also plays a part because of this. This is why many people will tell you to get a custom or purpose-ground cam for stroker based...

    When stroking an engine

You're correct about the rod length not having anything to do with the stroke, but a couple other things aren't quite right...when stroke is increased, rod length is typically increased (at least in a 302 based stroker) to clear the extra throw on the crankshaft unless the rods are already...

    Just filled her up

You realize you're living in a sea of people who believe contrary to you in Seattle, right? My Brother lives up in Lake Stevens...works in Renton...all I hear from him are how people up there can't drive and they all think the world is for their use. Also have a big problem with...

Just a thought-I also don't know if you changed rim/tire size, therefore weight and rotational mass. If you put on bigger diameter rims, bigger brakes are needed to shed off the rotational mass of the larger wheels along with the weight of the vehicle. Not that I doubt you "know your car" but...

    I Just Cant Stop..

Yeah, kinda what I was thinkin'... If you used SN95 front and noticed no difference at all, then there's probably something wrong-did you actually measure out stopping distance, or are you just going off "feel"? Besides, if you're still using rear drums, just what all are you expecting to...

Because I believe most of us are at least somewhat adult here: Mike, I'd have to say you're a pretty well thought individual and I agree with you on many points when it comes to vehicles, but we're gonna disagree on firearms. I own several of the firearms you would likely classify as an assault...

kinda curious here-if you noticed NO improvement with a 5 lug swap-what parts did you use?

    I Just Cant Stop..

Cool deal-I was just curious who it was that stated their 5 lug conversion made no difference in the way their vehicle stopped.
