    swapping engines

    i'm swapping a 03 cobra into my car but i have the computer, wiring harness, etc....I can tell you this, all you have to do is flash your computer for your new engine and you'll be fine. Wiring harnesses arent' that expensive, don't know if you could use your old one or not. Hope this gets you...

    +1...You will rip through the first 3 gears quickly and it won't feel like you are going very fast. I don't even use first gear in daily driving. Try using 2nd gear when starting off, makes it easier on me since my 1st gear takes me about 30 ft

    I am swapping in a 03 cobra motor into my 97 GT. I know I have to upgrade my fuel pumps but I was wondering if any of you know what would be the best size and brand pump to go with.

    I do have scoop added to my stock hood...The guy installing the engine says he can cut out the bottom part of my hood if there were any clearance issues becasue I have about 2 inches to work with from the hood to the top of the scoop.

    Here's a tip. Post it in the Stangnet Trader. I did this and bought 03 motor, tranny, clutch, wiring harness, and computer for 3600 shipped to my house. I know I'm lucky as HELL but maybe you'll have the same luck.

    didn't mean for that to be offensive...i think the stock cobra emblem is the best looking emblem because it was what was made stock for the car. IMO swapping emblems is a bit ricey and that one just looks like a kid's play toy. "opinions are like ***holes, yours stinks and mine doesnt."...

    I posted a want ad on the Stangnet trader and the guy told me he was going to install the engine but decided to build a house. I also got a couple replies from guys who are selling theirs for ~5k.
