    So, obviously I'll have to get new roller rockers and valve springs for the GT40s then, right? The current aftermarket springs and roller rockers that I have on my E7s won't work at all on the GT40s, will they?

    Sounds like you have more then a timing issue. The reason I say that, is because when I had a timing problem, I was still able to drive the thing normally. It was only when I was mashing on the pedal and the engine was reaching the upper rpms that I would notice my car would stutter and pop...

    Yes, definitely check your fuel pump relay under the driver seat. I assumed fuel pump the first time and ended up with the SAME problem I started with, since it ended up not being the issue.
