Strut-Tower brace for 07 GT - Plenum Cover

I have a Steeda billet strut brace ovver a Mid West technologies plenum cover although I'm not sure I can recommend it at all. The reason is that the bar itself which connects the two billet strut top mounts is rose-jointed. I assume that it's rose-jiointed to stop too much stress being placed...

    Interior transformation

After years of GM greys and blacks in my Camaros and Corvettes, I wanted something interesting so had no hesitation choosing the red interior which has the red panels on the door too. However, I couldn't resist adding the Redline Leather armrest cover and shifter and e-brake boots. Needless to...

'07 Mustang GT Convertible Wheel Question

Well the blue vert above has a body kit to hide the fact it's so high so looks OK ...but it's the white one underneath. There is another 22" rim V6 on there also which looks equally terrible.

'07 Mustang GT Convertible Wheel Question

What you're aiming for is trying to retain the same rolling radius as the stock 235/55 x 17. I have 275/35 x20's on mine and a set of Roush springs which don't drop the car as much as many do. To work that out, have a look at the tyre calculator on this site and it will tell you how much your...

    Premium Fuel

Perhaps you could sell your tires and run on narrow crossplies to increase your gas mileage.

'07 Mustang GT Convertible Wheel Question

To be fair, posting about 22's on a Mustang Forum is a bit like going on a Mormon forum and talking about Islam. Negativity is often a misconceived attempt to save you from yourself. Put it this way, you want people to look at your car and the almost universal response here would be to...

    stock gears in an 05?

I think they changed it for the lower gear for 2006 when the 3.55 became an option.

    Ordered New '08 Vert Today

Good choice. Nice to see someone who doesn't appreciate German blandness. Hell, why do you think we take so much trouble to import Mustangs here. :nice:

    Tires

If you're planning on using it in all weathers including rainm, the tire that consistent;y comes top in all disciplines (including track) in UK tyre tests is the Goodyear F1 GS-D3 or Assymetric. The Vredestein Ultrac Sessanto came 2nd this year which was a surprise. We don't get Nittos in the...

First Post: Suspension Kit without lowering

You can just replace the dampers and keep the stock springs.

When to get a new clutch?

I bought a SPEC Stage II clutch and flywheel when I fitted my Vortech HO but haven't needed it and the car has 8000 miles on it and still running on stcok though I don't drag it or anything.

    roush vs saleen

I'd take the Roush and save the $10000. I don't believe the Saleen's weight for a second.

    Rattling Hurst, Need input.

If the bolts go into the threaded part on the base, you can sometimes have the bolts done up tight but still with a gap between the face of the base and the shifter stalk. Unscrew, place faces flat together and screw together.

    1st post - negotiating two 06 GT's now

I just wouldn't buy a car that's been smoked in as it will be riddled with nicotine. I'm all for the right to smoke or even urinate in your own car but even more for the right to refuse point blank to buy it. I'd leave it and shop round - never settle for second best. If the dealer was...

    Accelerating too fast?

Wow, that's some serious traffic nazi stuff you have over there and open to abuse on both sides. Makes me glad we have somewhat more liberal rules here in the UK.

    Mustang vs. Camaro/Challenger

I'm one of those 4th gen Z28 boys who bought a Mustang in 2005. I wouldn't buy a Challenger because it's big, fat and it's too big and last generation Mercedes. Although I like the looks and will probably love them in the metal, there's something not quite right about it's abundant girth...

Would you run 35 profile tires?

I've got 275/35 x 20s all round and the ride is fine on my Mustang. However, much depends on other factors. For example, I have Roush progressive springs and Tokico D-Specs which I have set one turn from hardest. The wheel and tyre combo only adds 10lbs a corner too but a heavier wheel would...

    '10 refresh

The C7's not far off and as far as I can see, the C6 is the ugly duckling of the Corvette line. For the Mustang to be successful, it has to keep selling. This means it has to stay in the public eye and regularly engage the public's imagination. Traditionally, sales tail off towards the end of...

Will 275/40/20 fit on the front of a 05?

I use 275/35s up front with no issues but a 40 would be too tall even if it did fit.
