    okay, sounds expensive for the reprogram/stall converter, and now that i think about it...i'll save on tires if i floor/burn rubber less. i have a v6/vert which is ok speedwise. why do you say yours is "even slower"?

    I suppose the manual transmission would save a few gallons, but i'm wondering...what exactly is the purpose of buying an automatic GT? I mean isn't that kind of contradictory? You buy a gt for the power, then you choose a auto trans for what???

    Piece of cake...took 45 minutes...they look awesome...i thought i would not like the sequential brake lights, but they actually increase stopping visibility...and the turns sigs are way cool. Once again, thanks for the info Boomer!!! I hope I can use the harness in my 05 GT when I pick mine up...

    Any word if the new rear windows will open? I hear that they provide better visibility than the previous version, reducing blind spots. I drive a 2001 conv v-6 with standard power windows, and I drive a 2003 ford windstar at work which has power rear windows that open outwards about 2 inches...

    2k3 i haven't seen them lately, but last few times i saw them was between 1030 and 1130 am cruizin westbound on 6th between fairfax and san vicente. by the way, i just ordered my new patriotic plates with "2K5" in anticipation of my soon to be had 05 GT.

    Ok, boomer, bit the bullet and bought the prewired harness. will let you know how it turns out. ordered it overnight express, so it probably happen this w/e. later and thanks for the encouragement to do it. :nice:

    i see the same two 05's near wilshire and san vicente at least 2 or 3 times a week. a girl drives one and sometimes a sleeker lower profiled expedition-type vehicle follows. the suv looks almost like a large car. but the stangs are what i drool over.
