    Manual or Automatic?

Automatic. 1) It comes really well built to withstand a lot of punishment - it can take far more horsepower and abuse than the manual. Not your average auto tranny here. 2) It is a proven transmission used in vehicles that sell for twice as much as the Stang. 3) In northern climates, the...

    05 Tranny failure

What's wrong with vehicles built in Canada  All cars built in Canada are built by UAW workers, just like the Windsor engines (remember those?)

shaker 500 keeps spitting out c/ds and tells me its bad,

This would not be a Ford problem. Ford installs them, doesn't build them. Like the battery, tires, etc.

    Engine Dyno

5.0 mag did one 6 months ago. They mentioned that porting was a VERY viable option on the 3 valve heads, gains were quite good, and that the engine wants more air.. Don't remember the numbers though.

    Heated Seats in Canada?

This is the first winter my 95 stang is in hibernation for the winter. We get about 8-10 feet of snow in the winter. Yup, lots of salt. But salt does not work once it hits -10*, and there are times when it never goes above -20* for 3 weeks at a time. No, my car is not garaged. This is what I...

    Heated Seats in Canada?

Until you see the price we pay for gas, the taxes, THE COLD! -19* here tonight, in the coldest capital city in the world [Ottawa]. Even worse - most Canadians have no guns - handguns are almost universally prohibited, and 'light' beer here is 4% alcohol. Good thing with the National Hockey...

    Heated Seats in Canada?

No heated seats. Only family sedans, both import and domestic (AND higher end $$$$$) have them. EDIT: Block heater is standard though..

What is the best transmission for the 05?

None taken. He had an AODE in the super heavy '95 vert - loaded with MACH stereo, leather, etc. He also weighs 300 lbs. Those 3 things dropped him from a 15.6 to a 14.1. Same car, same driver, same engine. One of my buds had a Cobra, broke the axle. So he hardened the rear end. Broke the...

What is the best transmission for the 05?

Auto! :D Add a Torque converter, valve body and rachet shifter. Game over. On my son's 95 GT vert, he took off 1.5 seconds off his 1/4 time. The auto will also take far more abuse than the stick. With just those 3 things, he kills my lighter coupe (he also weighs almost 100lbs more than...

Why high power V8's are better.

Wouldn't a single turbo be a better idea on a V8? From what I understand about twin turbos (I'm a newbie in this area) it is to get to the powerband faster. With a V8, you are already there in the low end. Wouldn't a large single turbo for mid-high powerband be a better idea? I would think...

The official "How fast is it?" thread...

Just to let you know - the speedo on Canadian models have a marked top end of 240 Kph AND 150MPH on my 95 GT. My older Fox had both as well, but yes, it was far lower.
