    Roush Broken Piston - 01 281SC

It's VERY common. Same thing happened to mine, and several others I know. It's particularly bad if you do a 66mm pulley and don't re-tune it. The Saleen flash just isnt good enough to be messed with, and the stock GT pistons are nowhere near stong enough for a supercharger. Another buddy blew...

    break in

....:chair: NOT!! BOOST 101: Boost is boost no matter where it comes from, a turbo will produce more HP because it's relatively free boost by coming from exhaust rather than a drive pulley which robs some of the engine power to spin it. It also has no limitation on RPM's and can boost like mad...

    Roush saleen side scoop problems

Old Saleen gunkie say... Superglue.... I know I know your thinking WHAT! But yep the lower skirts kept pulling away just as you describe and another Saleen guru said "Superglue" well can't hurt I thought so I cleaned it, ran a bead of superglue along the double sided tape, and stuck it down...

    Roush Faleen on Ebay

No doubt the car is gourgeous, and he's probably right, it's better than a serialized Saleen. My question is WHY? If you love the Saleen look etc that much and are have the cash to drop 10K on the paint, 5K on the body, 2K on wheels, 2K on interior, and on and on why not just get a Numbered S281...

    Roush 2000 Saleen for sale

Is the title clear or does it still say Salvage? Thanks

    Roush which is faster 06 SC saleen 435hp, or 07 shelby GT500 500hp, 0-60, 1/4 mile.

I think it always goes back to the axiom "theres no replacement for displacement" 5.4 Litres blown will beat 4.6 litres blown. I realize the weight differance but my bet is on the Shelby, hands down.

Roush thinking of selling my kenne bell s281

Agreed you'll not get what you have into it. Another problem is the 06's are hot right now so the market is soft. Realistically 18-20K But we all know it's worth more than that. How much do you hope to get out of it. Surely you have an "I want figure".

    Power cutting out

I had a similar problem at the track, car ran great until I hit high RPM's under load. Ended up being a bad coil wire that was arcing under load. Really threw me though because it acted like a fuel starvation problem.

    strange oil pressure problem

You can say that because it was your car. Dont piss on us because were throwing out ideas, he had already replaced the oil filter. ok...so I was driving the car ths past week and the oil presure would go up and down real erratic, so I got oil, and a filter and changed it (used 10w30) and it...

    strange oil pressure problem

Yep, what Jeff said, when it pulls higher volumes of oil something is sucking up against the pump screen. Sounds like a drop pan project to me also.

    Roush Buying new

It's amazing what the market is like right now, I have a friend who had a 67 fastback, avg car, nothing significant about it, hadnt driven it in 20 years, doesnt run. The body was straight, so he loads it on a trailer last week and parks it by a local car show with a for sale sign. Guess how...
