Rear tires worn out too early on 2011 GT

Oh, and I never rotated the tires...probably should have, but either way my new rims were going on and these were coming off when they did.

Rear tires worn out too early on 2011 GT

I got about 32K out of the 18" Pirelli P Zero Neros that my 2010 Premium GT came with. I was happy with them overall, for a little tire. The fronts should have had a little life left, but the inner shoulder was down to slick due to an alignment issue that has since been fixed. The rears were...

New wheels and tires are FINALLY happening!

Wow, my thread got jacked. Well, anyway, today the itch got to me, plus the stock tires were at the wear bars. 32K miles out of the Pirelli P Zero Neros that Dearborn sent her home with. Found a local tire shop with a good rep, they mounted and balanced them for $80. Unfortunately they pointed...

Do 2010 GT tock springs have any resale value?

IIRC, the 2010s had what amounts to the FRPP Bullitt suspension in it. I know it's not the same as the 05-09 cars. While it's not something people would actively look to as an upgrade, you might be able to sell them for a few bucks to a guy looking for a bargain gain. Overall though, probably...

    Finally Finished!

Looks awesome. I want that intake for a N/A build, I think that's gonna be next year's tax return...

2012 Mach 1 purchase or not PLEASE READ

First off, there is no 2012 Mach 1, so calling it that is just plain wrong. It's a modded GT, just like mine. The price should be in-line with similarly equipped factory GTs. Any mods the dealer commissioned are only worth extra if they appeal to the right buyer, but to anyone else it's just a...

New wheels and tires are FINALLY happening!

Wow. Haven't posted here in months, haven't even done crap on the Mustang in months, but things are finally thawing out up here in MA, and courtesy of the tax returns I'm finally upgrading the rolling stock on my '10. I'm adding 18x9/10" American Racing Shelby Redline rims in gunmetal, new TPMS...

    SYNC stopped recognizing g/f's phone

    Droid X + Sync = electronic bliss. That's all I can say.

Does anyone elses Sync suck A**?

First problem (debatable, but I'm poking the bear:stirpot:): You're all using proprietary POS apple products. Yup, I said it, the Iphone sucks, get a Droid, they play nicely with Sync and are more capable pieces of tech. Apple products are bitchy, and Droid supports all of Sync's functions...

Looking to add a bit more hp....

Minimal. Any and all you mentioned are about even in gains over the stock choke-boxes. There isn't a ton to be gained in the muffler department anyway until you really start pushing high numbers, but it does allow you to tune the sound of your car, and IMO the sound of a Mustang is as important...

Looking to add a bit more hp....

If the car is lowered, it could just be springs. The rims and tires are a nice start. If there aren't mods to the shocks, struts, sway bars and other supporting suspension pieces you could eye that to finish that area of improvement. I agree that it sounds like somebody just hacked your mufflers...

Looking to add a bit more hp....

Dudes, the whole point of his question is that he doesn't have blower-level money. Cams, ported heads, a full LT exhaust? That's the $5k right there that he says he doesn't have. To the OP: 1) jump to a 93 octane tune, there's a bit more the be had. 2) Ford Racing intake plenum and throttle...

Do heat extractor hoods really work?

Also, add a bottle of water wetter. they sell it at autozone, and it helps keep overall system temps down a bit.

Do heat extractor hoods really work?

A normal battery would be murdered by that in minutes. Why not just get a big ass shop fan, put it in front of your car blowing air out your garage door, that way it blows at the radiator, under and over the car, and pushes the heat out of your garage. My local mustang shop has one they use for...

How to clean JLT intake filter

+1 for K+N kit, used it on my JLT setup with no problems. Only thing to note is that the K+N oil is red, so if you don't want a red filter, you might want to source out another brand. I personally don't care, and the K+N kit can be had at autozone for cheap. Just make sure you take your time...

Do heat extractor hoods really work?

He's worried about heat soak, and the only way to get a quicker turnaround in his boat is to pop the hood and let some out into the garage. Granted the car isn't going to go all wicked witch and melt down just because it's left warm, but if he was going right back out, then yeah, popping the...
