    your drink of choice

anyone else out there a craft/micro brew drinker? i learned the way of the good brews while working at a liquor store for ~4 years...but i'll still drink most any beer so long as it's cold, and especially if it's free. anyway, my favorite craft/micro brewers: -three floyds (NW indiana)...

we have those scams at my university...i know a few people that got suckered into telemarketing and other sales scams. one of them was selling knives door to door. stay away. far away. save up your aluminum cans and sell your junk on ebay. it's keeping me afloat during my student teaching...

    R.I.P GTO

it was really discouraging to see the GTO stuffed away in a corner at the Chicago Auto Show (whether you like GTO or not, it was still a RWD V8 in a sea of FWD displacement on demand V8 GM's). I know the thing didn't have anywhere near the best styling, but if the price was a tad lower it would...

    explorer intake

sorry to bring up an old post, but i have some questions! i'm looking to head to the junkyard this coming week and snagging one of these (especially since the local yard quotes manifolds at a verrrrrrry low price, hehe). what should i grab besides the upper and lower intake manifold? is the...

    $6,000 enough for a 450-500hp 347 and a tremec tko600?

it's the price of all the little parts that kill the buildup budget. as far as machine work, it seems to me you'd be better off buying a shortblock (from DSS or CHP or someone) for like $2500, sourcing some used H/C/I parts, and either letting your tranny stay stock or deal with a lower power...

    NMRA at 66 ne1 goin

i had a blast there this weekend. got real sunburned despite my sunscreen efforts but it was worth it. my only complaint: some better vendors and a bigger swap meet would have been cool. still a great time though! hopefully by next year i'll have the budget and parts to compete :-) p.s...

    Header Bolts - Locking Bolts?

i just lost the front driver's side bolt on mine. anyone here try the Breslin locking header bolts? they're in the summit catalog. the bolt features and allen (hex) set screw in the center of the head that spreads the threads of the bolt to keep it locked in place...

    Best Exhaust

if you don't mind spending a little more cash, look into the bassani stuff...it's definitely top notch and fits together like a dream with real good quality clamps and mounting stuff. quality parts from them for sure - especially if you're keeping your cats, and even if you're not.

what do you guys do with your stock parts?

toss me in the pack rat category...hanging on to those 16" ponys for some burnout action....the driveshaft is just hanging out with our patio umbrella, and what else....oh yeah, my stock headers? i think those are at my dad's house. i keep anything that is "worth" keeping in my eyes (or...

    Supercharging the Cobra

i also have some questions concerning Vortech's...i actually got a call today from my old man about an acquaintance of his selling an intercooled Vortech S Trim for a very very reasonable price so i might jump on it. i haven't found out details yet, but if it turns out to be a 86-93 kit, is...
