Okay turbo people, chime in on this!

Joey, like I said, just go find a decent low mile 87-91 shortblock. Shouldnt be to terribly hard to find one in the $5-600 range. Look into the Lincoln Mk7 LSC's too.

What you can do is just figure out how big your chambers are, pick out what head gaskets your gonna use and give the piston company a call and they will get you in the right direction.

Joey go over to the Corrals drag section and check out the "how fast on a stock block" thread. People have gone pretty damn fast with a stock block. Hell my best trap with a completely stock long block (heads had never been off) was 126, thats with an over 3400 lbs race weight. And Nate is...

Well although I must admit the late model small block ford isnt as prone to cylinder wall wear as alot of engines especially the older ones. But this has little to do with the actual block material. Its the thin low tension metric piston rings thats primarily responsible. If the 5.0 had so much...

Boring the block .030 is fine and you do need to have new pistons that match the bore. At 234k miles the taper is probably so bad that you dont have much choice but to bore it and put in new pistons. As far as what to get, there are alot of choices, just make sure you get a decent forged piston...

Okay turbo people, chime in on this!

Yep, stock block down to the cam. The deal is, if you have a forged piston motor the weakest part of a stock short block is the block itself. So sticking all that money into a bunch of good parts is just a waste. Now if your engine has a ton of miles on it and is tired then obviously thats a...

Okay turbo people, chime in on this!

Okay there is an A/R (area ratio) for the hot side (turbine) and cold side (compressor). A/R is actually the distance between the turbine or compressor wheel and the housing and you can change housings to change this distance. So like what was already said the closer the a/r the quicker it will...

Gregg, Im not sure, I believe the only NPSA class I would qualify for is the 10.50 class and I doubt I would be very competitive. I thought Turbo Thunder was all saturday so I was hoping to run that if possible but maybe not. I guess i will see when I get there.
