    Is it because of the drag launch kit? I was concerned about that because I have never seen a car with those springs, but when I called, he said it would sit about 3/4 to an inch lower than stock.

    I've ridden in an S-10 extended cab with 20% on the front window and 5% on the rest of the windows and I could not see anything (this was at night). He had to upgrade to HID's and all that crap and it was still dark.

    A 1500 compound is still kinda rough. Might want to go over it with a 2000, then a polishing compound then wax.

    I used the mother thumpr cam from comp cams, hydraulic flat tappet. I lined it up dot to dot on the timing chain. Set the timing multiple times, but still gets hot very quick and stays hot. I advanced the timing and no matter how far advanced I go, it still runs good. I know its a...

    I have the exact same problem as you with my 351. Let me know how the timing tape works out, that sounds like the best method.

    Could be the module on the side of the distributor. I had one go bad and every time it got hot it would shut off, but you let it cool down and it would start back up.

    I know this is old, but do you have any pics Shaolin? I'm running low on "mustang" money and I don't want to spend $75 on new cables. And I do have an '87 and you said it wouldn't work in yours. What was the difference?
