    dyno numbers--Suggestions??

Length shouldnt be an issue between the 2 heads, unless one is pedestal and one is stud mount. What rockers are you running? The reason I wonder about the valve springs is that the standard AFR springs are good to .550 lift and you're running .542. Pretty close... AFR says to use the upgraded...

is there a return fuel line in carb setup?

Actually, a good carb setup does use a return line. Even my carbed 84 has a factory return line from the pump.. you dont always NEED it, but circulating cooler fuel to the carb is always a good idea..

is there a return fuel line in carb setup?

If it's 510-12-803 then the port on the bottom is the inlet, the two on the sides go to the carb. You can plug one if you only need one.. They're set up for a holley carb with one line to each bowl. If you have Part #: 12-803BP, then it has a bypass and uses a return line

    dyno numbers--Suggestions??

He said dynojet :rlaugh: Did they do any tuning? another vote for timing change at least. My AFR's liked 17* initial.. Are you running the stock AFR valve springs? The X303 is close to the max lift on them.. Can you post the dyno sheet?

Are my bearings ok (post mortem of oil pump shaft failure)

Did you pull the pickup off the pump? Looks like it might be a piece of that gasket.. or the cover to housing. Another vote to check the crank journal of the bearing that has the groove in it.

    429, good or bad idea??

This thread is funny..:D Anyone see who one the BB engine masters challenge? Oh yeah, it was a 460 ford.. The chevy 427 was badass in it's time, but an '03-'04 cobra is quicker and faster... and why not compare the boss 429 to the ZL-1? Both were limited production... BTW, a properly...

    7.5 e-brake cable work with an 8.8?

It's easy.... the brake line retainer clip on the 7.5 wont work on the 8.8. I've heard of a few people that had a prob with the distribution block for the brakes being on the wrong side of the mount that goes over the axle's vent. Mine worked fine though.
