    New 'Stang owner here!

Bolting in/welding in any muffler into the stock system - I did this, and I regret it slightly only because for $100 more, I could have just bought the Full American Thunder catback and installed it myself. Get a full catback! Don't expect any noticeable gains either from any catback - pick...

Problems after C&L Plenum and Accufab 75mm T/B install... NEED HELP!!!

Glad it looks like you found the problem. You should just go pick-up a new TPS at autozone - they are only $30-ish I believe. Good luck - hope you fix it!

Problems after C&L Plenum and Accufab 75mm T/B install... NEED HELP!!!

Actually, in your case, you might have seen three: Yeah, I believe there are three. A new gasket for inbetween the TB and Plenum, one for the IAC, and one for the EGR. The reason I didn't have three to work with/install is that my Accufab TB came pre-assembled to the Accufab Plenum. So...

Problems after C&L Plenum and Accufab 75mm T/B install... NEED HELP!!!

The TPS is short for "Throttle Position Sensor". As it's name suggests, it's located on the throttle body and tells the engine management system what the position of the throttle plate. You should have installed two new bolts that came with the new throttle body when you swapped the TPS to...

Problems after C&L Plenum and Accufab 75mm T/B install... NEED HELP!!!

Re-check all of your bolts and hoses to make sure they are all properly secured. Then, loosen your TPS a little and play around with it a little with the car on (just loosen the bolts enough to be able to move it around a little back and forth.) There isn't much movement, but move it until the...

    Plenum hype finally died down?

That's exactly what my combo came with - the shorter bolts.

    Plenum hype finally died down?

Here's some info that's not very scientific about the plenum/TB mod, and I'll let everyone form their own opinion. And I'll share mine . . . I like this mod, and I got this combo for a really good price (can't remember exactly, but it was like $370?). The jury's still out somewhat for me on...

Installed my Accufab TB / Plenum today

Yeah, I have to admit, even though I have the plenum/TB, if I had to do it all over again I'd get 4.10s and DRs first. And my flowmasters, because I love the sound! I really can't imagine an aftermarket MAF does much for you, but at least the C & L isn't crazy-expensive. Doubt I'll ever get...

Installed my Accufab TB / Plenum today

Nope. Not even with the 75 mm TB. Stock MAF or an aftermarket MAF works just fine with any TB (65-70-75).

Installed my Accufab TB / Plenum today

The plenum is the same thing as the elbow. I guess I refer to it as an "elbow" because it really doesn't look/act like a a true plenum (at least as I've had a plenum pictured in my mind.) They are the same - most people call it a plenum.

Installed my Accufab TB / Plenum today

Update Went to the track this past Friday. In 24 previous 1/4 mi passes, I never hit 100 mph - not even once, although last time out in 2003 I did hit 99.98. I made 3 passes this past Friday with the following new modifications: Nitto DRs Accufab Elbow Accufab 70mm TB Raptor Shift...

17x9 bullits with DR's yes or no?

I just did exactly what you are considering. I purchased two 17 x 9 Bullitt rims (made by Detroit Wheels, purchased for $129 each new from Jegs) and also purchased Nitto 275/40/17. I haven't hit the track yet with this combo, but I am tomorrow night. I went with the bullitt rims because I...

    Bought some Nitto's - a few questions

Bought some 17 x 9 bullitts and 275/40/17 Nitto DRs today. I just noticed that the 17 x 9's with the 275 DRs are actually a little taller than the stock 17 x 8's with 245s on it. Maybe a 1/2 inch. Will this mismatch in diameter between the front tires and the rear tires cause me any problems...

Borla H-Pipe? Where did you get that? I didn't know Borla made an H-pipe for our cars. Do tell . . .

Evalute my 1/4 time.. por favor

The biggest problem I'm having with the 4.10s is (no surprise) traction on the 1-2 shift. My 60' times with the 4,10s actually were more consistent and slightly lower than with the 3.27s. I'll chalk it up to finally learning how to launch with 4.10s and street stock Goodyears. That, and the...

If you have underdrive pulley's, Respond!

I haven't experienced any downsides whatsoever besides a lighter wallet! Plenum: SOTP - a little - it was noticeable but not crazy-noticeable. ET/Track - still TBD. Waiting for the tracks to open. I also experienced no problems whatsoever with the plenum/TB combo (no whistling...

What causes my car to struggle when I floor it?

Yup. Change fuel filter, spark plugs, & spark plug wires if any of them have never been changed (or it's been a while) and I'll bet your problems will go away. My '99 Contour SE V6 recently suffered hesitation/hiccups (with no check engine light) at mid rpms under part to full throttle...

If you have underdrive pulley's, Respond!

They are easy to install if you have the right tools. Get/rent a harmonic balancer puller / pulley tool and make sure you follow the proper torque specs/procedures when you install (along with sealing the crank key slot with the proper sealant) and you won't have any problem. Remember not to...
