steel cowl vent covers for a 65.

did it, don't notice negative p when I open the window. I also welded the cowl openings under the dash close (drilled a couple small hole to drain moisture). I did get rid of the heater too.

looking for advice on a carb

if you are going to spend the money on a speed demon, quick fuel, or other race type carb, look at one of the companies that builds carbs to suit the application. I used prosystems, ran great out of the box. Patrick was very good with customer service also. Also, as mention earlier you can...

    Broken shock tower options

I'd give up a little handling for the room. Mine's setup for drag racing, OT roller LCA, MM adjustable strut rods, Strange coil over, and TCP uppers. I will say it handles nicer on the road than when I had the moog springs, OT uppers, and calvert shocks. Hopefully make it to the track this...

Opinions needed- 4 core radiator with electric fan

lincoln mark VIII fan will cool it. I found a good replacement body in a T-bird and bought a VDO lincoln replacement motor on Amazon. Something like 3400-3600 cfm. It does use a ton of power, but it is only on to get the temp back down. I did have to trim it and slide the motor back a...

    Broken shock tower options

wish I would have gotten rid of the tower, to far in now to go back. Would have probably been the same or cheaper to do MII

    radiator/fan clearance

another option (involves cutting), is getting rid of the raised area so the radiator sits flush with the core support. I did this to open up the front end (expose more radiator), and give me the needed clearance. I also used the Ron Morris mounts and slid the motor back some.

shock tower chop in a 66

I know I should have done the MII, however I've made to many other decision based on the stock style suspension to go that route. Next time, that will probably be my route. I hate shock towers. I didn't mind the notching, I actually ejoy the fab work alot. Almost more than driving the car...

shock tower chop in a 66

I should have the motor in this weekend. The coil over shocks from moneymaker will be in Wednesday. I've got some C-460 heads I was trying to sale to fund a new short block. Seems no one wants them, maybe I can stick a BBF in it now.

    HotRod Flatz - HotRod Black

I really like it, I wanted to do mine in a flat. The problem was the booth I was using was to dirty. No matter how much I cleaned I still got crap in the paint, which is fine with BC/CC when you are going to wet sand anyways.

shock tower chop in a 66

I use AR 3924 plugs in my highports, also taking them to read the plugs will be more often than every 100K. Headers are accufabs, not sure what else I can get. Of the ones I've seen they all fit about the same. I think having the raised exhaust port made the headers stick out further than a...

shock tower chop in a 66

probably because I am never happy with the car. I had to dimple the 1 3/4 headers quite a bit to get them to fit (383W). Changing plugs and putting the headers on was a pain. Hopefully this helps.
