12V switched power source in 1968 mustang

I tell you what I did for a switched power source. Instead of tapping directly off the back off the ignition switch I ran a wire to a relay from the back of the ignition switch and on the otherside of the switch I ran a wire to ground. On the other side of the relay I ran a wire to a constant...

4 Speed Toploader Conversion Parts List

I think you guys might have convinced me to go with the T5 so I'll move onto my next question. What kind of options do I have for pedal assemblies? As I understand it the manual pedal assembly is the same as the auto just with the extra clutch pedal. They way it's set up it isn't very good for...

4 Speed Toploader Conversion Parts List

Oh man, alot to consider. I appreciate the advice from everyone. My main reason for wanting a Toploader is they are nearly indestructable. My car isn't overpowered by any means at this point but later down the road I'd like to be pushing 400-450 HP. I've thought about the T5 but have heard alot...

4 Speed Toploader Conversion Parts List

Thanks for the response. How much would you want for your toploader? Is it a wide ratio or short ratio? Do you know how much the rebuild kits cost? Also, where do I look or how do I know if my block is drilled and tapped for the Z-Bar mount? One other thing, I have the center console for an...

4 Speed Toploader Conversion Parts List

Hi, I've got an 67 C4 Coupe with a 5.0 roller motor. I would like to do a conversion to a 4 speed toploader somewhere down the line. I figure I'm going to need a a good many parts so I can start hunting them down now. Could someone provide a list of everything I will need for this conversion? Or...

    3G alternator conversion

The wire I spliced it into was also GRN/RED at the voltage regulator connector. If you don't have the ALT Warning light then yea you need the 560 Ohm resistor. I actually haven't bought the resistor yet, was waiting for feedback on that. :D As far as the 4 AWG wire goes, I ran my 4 AWG fire...

    3G alternator conversion

You're talking about where to route the LT GRN/RED wire coming off the alternator right? If so I asked a similar question a few months back in this thread. http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-forums/799456-bizarre-alternator-starting-issue.html Let me know if that doesn't answer your question.

    Bizarre alternator and starting issue

I was looking at resistors but there are so many different 560 Ohm resistors I don't know which to get. What sort of power rating should they have? Thanks.

    Random Technical Questions Thread

I am probably not the only one here who has questions from time to time that don't need alot of explaining, just a quick answer and then I can move on. Instead of opening a new thread for something that can be answered short and sweet, how about a dedicated thread for such questions? I think...

    Wheel Adapter Spacers??

Doesn't Mustangs Unlimited or NPD or one of those shops sell them? Also, have you bought the bullitt wheels yet? If not I know of some bullitt wheels you can buy specifically for 65-73 Mustangs in any color, 17x8, and require no spacer or any sort of extra work to get them to fit. Also, the...

    opinions of side exhaust

Yea it could be done either way. Deformation of the strain gauge can be correlated to a pressure. I've used strain gauges in wind tunnels to find the pressue at different locations on an airfoil/cylinder/etc.

Quick Question about Wheel Sizes for 67

Yep the center caps are interchangeable. Something I plan on swapping, I don't like them myself either.

Quick Question about Wheel Sizes for 67

Also, I bought these from a friend so I wasn't sure of the brand. After some searching for some 17x8s I found this...

    opinions of side exhaust

I wouldn't call side exit exhaust redneck, in fact it has a distinct advantage over rear exit exhaust. (Of course I intend to verify this before going with it) Right in front of the rear tire is a low pressure zone which will aid in expelling exhaust from the engine. I plan on doing it on my car...

Quick Question about Wheel Sizes for 67

I only got 2 because they're 17x9s and from all I've read there is pretty much no way they will fit on the front stock. So I'm looking for 17x8s instead. I should be pretty safe with those right?
