    What brakes?

    dont know about baer being overpriced, it was ~$1200-1300 with everything including all new brake lines for a manual 13" track kit. I never had to ask the forum members how to get my pieced together kit to work like Ive seen many many times.

    65 coupe heater setup

    I think the number of wires (2 for 2 speed). went through my heater box 2 yrs ago. I think I used it once since then.

    I understand it to be "stick with one company" for best results when making your selection of parts. cant remember any tests.

    Taurus fan install(in the process of)

    whew, almost bought a spal controller to help my lil 100a alternator. installing a 16" spal (bcool) fan on the 66 right now.

    summit will hook you up with an install kit if you ask....I shoulda picked up the 140 instead of the 100.

    Stainless collectors, for stainless exhaust. Who has them?

    JBA may have them since they carry stainless (409) headers....wish I could swing a set of those titanium coated babies for my ride.

    can gears improve gas mileage and acceleration?

    yes, i believe if the gears put the engine closer to the optimal power range. but that all gets thrown out the window when you are mashing the gas at every stoplight because it is so much more fun!

    Headlights: H4 and projector lights question

    I used the halogen bulb assemblies available at parts stores as well, the painless kit from summit has 2 relays for my 2 headlight system. Yes the lights are much better, even the taillights are brighter.

    if i remember right the 66 is a spear in a collision. you may want to retrofit a 67 or later for the breakaway safety.

    Which exhaust header gasket for 289 heads?

    Earls with the graphoil inserts get my vote...very good sealing, a bit costly but worth it.
