Catted X pipes: BBK vs mustangtuning?

The mustangtuning x and the bbk will have two different types of sound. BBK uses a style similar to Bassani, while mustangtuning uses an x design similar to slp, magnaflow, dr gas, etc. It's all opinion, but I think the mustangtuning will give a better tone with less rasp.

http://www.carcraft.com/techarticles/69238/ I think they inflate the numbers though to make it look better... but who knows

What X or H pipe with flowmasters

well said ...That's what I love about my X ...deep tone, but when you get up to higher rpms it screams with a hollow/smooth sound ...you kinda need to hear it first hand to appreciate it. X pipe is the way to go.

What X or H pipe with flowmasters

Magnaflow and SLP use the same junction design as dr gas and the others you listed...and sound VERY similar ...it's bassani and bbk that use a different x design and might sound raspy with flows

What X or H pipe with flowmasters

H pipe will give you the classic deep sound and the X pipe will give you a smoother, racier sound. It's all opinions, but I prefer the X with flows and thats why I switched. But beware - there are certain brands of X pipes that have a different junction design and therefore people complain...

    WTF is a glasspack?

they sound good on old muscle cars ...used to have packs on my road runner and it sounded mean as all hell ...but on new stangs, it will just take away from the car.

    Prochamber vs. o/r x pipe

Flows with the O/R X sound great. Nice hollow, smooth sound that screams when you get on it. Prochamber and flows have a great tone, but they are quieter. I personally think the X is the best midpipe with flows IF you get the right brand.

Dr GAS X!!! the sound with flows is unbelievable ....still has the deep mustang sound, just a cleaner/smoother tone

    4.10's just installed((WHOA!!))

yep ...it's the stock tranny ...I was expecting it to still be off b/c afterall, they sell the same 23 gear for 3.73s I believe (could be wrong) ...But, I didn't feel like I needed a speedcal when a $15 plastic gear will get you close

40 series flows or SUPER 40's

Doesn't matter what you get ..if it's flowmaster it will sound great ...Only heard one mustang with super 40s though - sounded good ...they are quieter than the original 40s but have a different tone

    4.10's just installed((WHOA!!))

I got the 23 tooth speedo gear after I got my 4.10s ....Its about 3 mph off when you are at lower cruising speeds (30-40) and about 5-6 mph off when you get up to highway speed ... I tested it with another car after I installed just to see how far off it was ...Doesnt bother me too much ...I...

    People with SLP Mustang Exhaust

I just have the SLP X pipe ..no complaints ..fit well ..good clearance ...I've gotten a lot of compliments on the tone... I don't have the SLP catback though ...I do have soundclips, but it would sound a lot different with my flows than with the full SLP

    catted X or o/r x pipe

well alright, I see what you are saying now ...just interpreted it wrong

    catted X or o/r x pipe

yeah, but you said 2-3 times louder ...thats just multiplying. A car is not going to be 2 to 3 times louder with an O/R over a catted pipe ...I agree with the 2-4 hp though
