    FMS "B" spring users....

iwashmycar - do you notice any squeaking or harshness without the rear isolators? I like where the removal of those put your stance. I have B springs and I've been considering cutting, but that might be better.

    personal plates?

I'm a fan of vanity plates. I have SLOW 5O on mine (Ohio allows spaces). And my fiance has V8 GIRL on hers. The only thing that sucks is when I drive her car.

What color vac line is from intake to cluster under glovebox?

Thanks everyone, and especially jrichker for that diagram. I even went to his site looking for a diagram like that, and couldn't find it! Do you think the check valve and reservoir are needed? I was planning on taking a line right off the manifold and going to the black line at the...

What color vac line is from intake to cluster under glovebox?

There is a junction point under the glovebox of my '92 which has red, white, blue, and black colored vacuum lines. What line is coming from the intake? During my hide everything and delete heat and a/c last winter, I cut the line going through the firewall, and now I have no vacuum going...

    Car Pics

I love draglites on red stangs, so they get my vote. The Cobra's are my least favorite of what you posted. Very clean car BTW.

    what to get??

Before I even read any replies, I was thinking, "forget headlights and tint, save up for some rims!" My vote would be for a used set of Draglites.

For those with Air Compressors in the garage...

The regulator and tank pressure are independent. The pressure switch on your tank is set to 120/150 on/off. The regulator can be set to any pressure you need without effecting tank pressure. I also keep mine around 90 psi. Is your compressor on wheels or stationary? If it's stationary...

    Roof line question (w/ pic)

Wow - didn't expect this post to last this long. It wouldn't surprise me if the sunroof was causing flex. I had to add some cross bars between the sunroof and hatch (between the headliner and roof metal) to support the roof when block sanding the repairs I was making. It's a lot stiffer...

    Roof line question (w/ pic)

hey 25th - I was actually looking for your input on this since I know you did your own body work. What are you saying it's from? And how did you repair it? Grind away metal, fill up to the highest point, tap high metal down? It's just such an odd place to be working on. Kinda scared of it!

    Roof line question (w/ pic)

The floor pans are perfect. So are the torque boxes. When I got the car (at 130k miles) I welded in subframe connectors and welded up the torque boxes. If it's tweaked from hard launches, I imagine it happended prior to the SFCs. What I really want to know is if that's the normal shape...

    Roof line question (w/ pic)

Doing more body work this winter and I have a question about the edge of the roof on hatchbacks, right above where the quarter window and drip moldings come together. I haven't done any body work at this point, but after I got it in primer, I noticed a slight bulge - and it's the same on both...

    Cervini's Hoods

I had one from Cervini's that looked awesome out of the box, and then the gel-coat let go once the hood was painted (black) and parked out in the summer sun. The whole thing had to be block sanded, primed, and repainted.

Installing new clutch and rear main seal

Nothing wrong with 2x4's. I built the ramp / block set pictured below just for the stang. The ramps are nice and long so that I can pull it up on there without anything bottoming out (mine is lowered). Then, the ramps are removable from the blocks, so I can get a jack under the rear axle and...

    clicked off a new best

Congrats - nice pass, especially on street tires. I'm shooting for mid 12's on drag radials next spring.

YOU'RE a part of this so help me decide

I agree with others that the 86 is rough (don't get me wrong, it was a very generous offer that was made to give you the car). I also am not a fan of fixing cars that were hit hard like yours. Here's my two cents... Even though the 86 is "free", it's going to cost you 600 to get it...

    Measure your gap!!!!

For me, one side sits at 27.5 and the other at 28.0. Gotta love the fox lean. My setup is Pro3i non-adjustable LCA's with B-springs, and stock iso's. Tires are 245/50/16's on pony's.

    Pony Center Cap Removal

I use a flathead and pull the centercap far enough to get a finger in there and use my hands to pop them off. I don't pry on the rim, and I don't ever twist the flathead. On my set of ponys that are painted black, I lay a couple layers of masking taper over the areas of concern before even...
