Much difference between rotor quality/performance for the $$$?

I bought drilled/slotted fronts from R1 Concepts (ebay company). They are nickel plated and have worked very well so far (only a couple months). They look good too.

more pics of my trashed 5.0 coupe

Somehow I completely missed this thread until now. BK - sorry to see this. I have some parts in my basement that could be of help: Almost Complete a/c system - compressor, condensor, the lines. Everything but the evap core behind the dash. Almost new serpentine belt for a/c w/out smog...

    Clutch Cable??

I agree with the above post suggesting Maximum Motorsports. They offer the Ford OEM non-adjustable at significantly less than the 162 you were quoted. I'm using one from them with their alum. quadrant and a FWA.

    Uneven Ride Height Questions

Make sure the ground you are measuring on is perfectly level! I have made the same measurements on my car, and they come out different depending on if I park on my side of the garage or in the middle of the garage (2 car garage, floor setup with a drain in the middle). You wouldn't even notice...

    body work gurus welcome

All of SVT32V's advice is really good. It sounds like if you're getting ready for paint, then filler is the cheapest solution. My fiance's mustang was damaged by hail this summer and we had a PDR (paintless dent repair) guy make the repair. Absolutely unbelievable results.

    Pictures of painted ponies please

Joeymustang - thanks for the props. I used a cheap black basecoat and Transtar clear (not cheap) that I had left over from painting the front clip of the car last winter. If you do a search on my user name you'll find a post about the rims and in one of my replies I wrote up a how to on lip...

Dean, Your car looks great. I've never seen pics of it with ponies before. If you are thinking about black with polished lip, here you go...

    cobra insert

I bought one from blue oval industries (ebay company) and it's a quality product. All I did was scuff and shoot it. However, it didn't come with two sided tape (but it was $40 cheaper than Cervini's at the time). Oh, and mine is only held on with tape - it's not gonna go anywhere.

How loud are your aftermarket control arms?

Wow - that's two votes for noisy suspension components. I can live with that. THe nuts are locking. I used the Edelbrock kit that Summit sells. They have the oval shaped end for locking. For exhaust, I run dumps, so the number of spots it can be hitting on is pretty minimal, and I have...

How loud are your aftermarket control arms?

Update - I went through every control arm bolt. They were all WAY under the torque spec. I torqued them all to 85 ft-lbs and thought for sure I had fixed the problem. NOPE. Still there - clunk-clunk. I'm starting to think it's driveline related. Now that I'm driving EVERYWHERE with the...

How loud are your aftermarket control arms?

All bushings are new - bushings in the rear were replaced when new arms were put on. Driveshaft was just bolted back up by me b/c I replaced a pinion seal two weeks ago - the noise was there before and after that repair. What is the torque spec for the control arms bolts?

    Talk about lousy timing....LOL (MM&FF)

I agree with every one else about hanging on to it. Also, I gotta ask: If you built a car that was featured in two magazines, would you really want to sell it? I know I wouldn't

How loud are your aftermarket control arms?

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm wondering if it could be my C-clips too? When the rear tires are off the ground, I can move the wheel in and out enough to make a thunk (maybe .100" of play). Time for new C-clips?

How loud are your aftermarket control arms?

I have Pro 3i lowers with spherical bearings at one end (they mimic the MM design), and Ford Racing uppers. New bushing in the rear axle. Welded torque boxes. B-springs. At low speeds, especially stop, go, reverse maneuvers, I get a light thunk/clunk sound. I can't weld, so I payed to...

Other things to do while doing intake swap?

Well for me, I bought a Cobra intake last year and decided to port match it - then decided there wasn't any point in port matching to stock heads, so I bought some TW's. Then rr's, then shiny valve covers, then I started hiding wires b/c everything else looked so nice, then found I had to...

Switched valve covers, now have breather

I put a breather in place of the PCV as well as on my valve cover. I found a breather at Advanced Auto in their ricer section that was a perfect fit for the PCV location.
