ATTENTION: Owners of 2011 Mustangs with a shimmy/vibration in the car/steering

Actually those are sales figures, there is a significant difference between those and production numbers. I know more than 138,000 have been built based on my VIN production sequence number. Based on the sales stats above roughly 1/3 of the 2011's built have sold as of Sep 10.

ATTENTION: Owners of 2011 Mustangs with a shimmy/vibration in the car/steering

    1) Historically ~30% of Mustangs produced are GT's vs V6. My GT build number is ~138,000. ~41,400 GTs built as of about June. Like I said I don't have the exact production figures for 2011. 2) I guess they must not have internet access because he didn't get too many replies considering he...

2000 mustang gt with break problems.. someone help

Based on your description, you do have stock brakes. Changing out the OEM rotors for drilled and slotted isn't going to increase noticeable stopping power. Neither is switching from OEM to a Hawk or similar quality pad. The OEM calipers are still doing the clamping with the same number of...

Need ideas on first bolt ons.

I'm not saying don't get a tune or CAI, 75% of the Steeda CAI claimed gains are from an SCT tune that costs a few bucks less. IMO 12 RWHP from a $389 CAI that requires a tune to net the full gain is not all that impressive or anything new. My KN FIPK on my 98 Cobra achieved the same 12 RWHP...

ATTENTION: Owners of 2011 Mustangs with a shimmy/vibration in the car/steering

+1 If there were 50,000 GT's made (probably less, not sure of 2011 production stats), that would be .032% affected.

Need ideas on first bolt ons.

The Steeda CAI requires a tune just so they can claim a gain of up to 44 hp/52 lb-ft torque. It sounds much more impressive than the realistic 12 hp/10 lb-ft from the CAI itself for $389.

    Modified or non-modified?

I wouldn't let it stop me. The mods you mentioned are about as basic as you can get.

    JLT Performance's Early 3.7L V6 CAI Testing

You would think they would post a decent quality video or dyno chart since they are marketing their product. From the video it looks like you pick up 10 RWHP at peaks in the 5.5K - 7K RPM range. Looks like it actually dips about 10 RWHP and 10 RWTQ over the stock CAI in the 3K - 4K range...

Not a fan of the "5.0 is back" theme

Who cares if people don't know there's a difference? The truth is, a 315HP 4.6 isn't gonna cut it anymore in 2011 when there are 300+ HP V6's everywhere. In a couple years, if Ford wants to badge it 7.5 and stuff some new 550+ HP N/A modular 460 in it, would you gripe about it...

best battery for 1996 mustang gt

The experience I've had with Optima's, they are expensive and don't last long. I prefer OEM motorcrafts. Got 11 years out of the one in my old 98 Cobra.

    OP, A 2011 5.0 "Fastback" doesn't exist. It's a Coupe.

Do it. Worst case scenario people will think it's a jacked-up looking sombrero with tassels at each end.

Is that why you ordered a CS? So you wouldn't have to look at the 5.0 badge?
