What are you guys doing different? I still get 'em all the time. Got them this morning and later on this evening. I am sooooooo never going to Chili's again.

What tools are really used for :)

Ugh ... I know what you mean. I hated working with a bunch of morons who thought you could change out any battery with a pair of pliers, a flathead screwdriver, and a hammer. They'd completely FUBAR a customer's battery and/or terminals, then come get me and insist I try to finish the job, and...

Automatic redirects to ads/ad sites from StangNet

Again, this is NOT A MALWARE ISSUE, as I have ran multiple checks with multiple programs and come up with nothing, and this ONLY HAPPENS ON THIS WEBSITE. And, again, if you'll look back a few posts in this thread, you'll see that I have already posted up the URL from where this is originating...

What is that best carpet cleaner in the world

Castrol Super Clean works on the really hardcore stains for me. Otherwise, I use Tuff Stuff for the not-so-severe spots/areas.

"Tailpipes are on guys" ... but they also are on girls, as well. :D

    exhaust

If you're worried about noise ordinances, I'd honestly avoid the 1-chambers or the 40 series and just go with some 50 series muffs, if you feel that you have to stick with Flowmasters. Otherwise, I'd opt for a straight-through style muffler like Magnaflow, Hooker Maximum Flow, or Dynomax Ultra...

Catalytic converters welded onto a H-pipe

That's just too Orwellian for me to even want to consider reality. Damn, I'm glad I don't live in CA... :nonono:

    5.0 question

Did you actually DRIVE it? Just starting the thing and revving the motor is only going to tell you about 1/3 of what's up with the car, really ... unless you plan on replacing the entire suspension, brake system, and transmission and could care less about whether those parts are worth a hoot...

    StangNet Notchback Project Ideas?

Is this really a Tech thread? :hide: :D If you feel like going through all the hassle of dropping that Cobra motor in there, I say go for it; otherwise, it might be cheaper/easier just to build on what you've got. If I were all awesomely rich and stuff and had that kinda choice to make, I'd...

    Low Oil Pressure,Rebuild...

Are you going by the stock temp gauge or an aftermarket one? The stock ones are poop, but if you don't want to bother installing an aftermarket gauge, at least try swapping out the temperature sending unit (driver's-front area of the intake manifold). Costs less than $10, last I checked. Make...

    5.0 question

If you think your post was long, clearly you haven't seen some of mine. :D A well-kept 302 can last well over 150k miles easily. I've had one (in a '90 Town Car) that hadn't even had the valve covers pulled off at 200k miles. My '84 is creeping up on 200k and (far as I can tell) it's the...

What brand butyl tape for tallight lens?

This probably won't be any help, but I've always just used black RTV silicone on mine - holds well, keeps the moisture out, and comes apart without too much work. Doesn't pull off in a nice clean strip when you take off the lenses, though, so it's a more semi-permanent thing than butyl tape...

Catalytic converters welded onto a H-pipe

Incorrect. Many aftermarket cat'ed X- and H-pipes only have TWO cats and some of them are 50-state legal. Even though it fits like total crap (hangs too low, no transmission crossmember hangers, cats welded in about 2" too far back from factory), my UPR X-pipe passes the sniffer test here in AZ...
