    Flaming River Steering Column

Flaming river offers an adapter for both gm and ford splines to use aftermarket steering wheels. I bought the ford splined column and later decided to use a grant wheel. So i ordered the adapter from F.R. and it bolted right up. Now I can go back to an original wheel IF I wanted to without any...

    Spring suggestions

I have a set of eibachs I'm looking to trade for a set of stock springs. The roads in winnipeg suck and the eibachs are a little too stiff. They lower it around an inch - inch and a half, I can send a pic if you want. If you decide on eibachs let me know and we'll swap straight across. Dan

    Backup Light Switch Wiring

I'll take a look when I get home. But I believe my switch/wiring comes through the tunnel towards the end of the transmission. I haven't hooked it up to the t5 yet.

    Newer Grant steering wheels designs

I recently installed this wheel and love it. I used Flaming River's adapter to connect it to the tilt steering column, too easy.

How tall is your air cleaner?

It's on a 66 but it's a full foot from the engine to the top of the aircleaner with no problems, stock hood - tcp motor mounts.

Should I be worried? 65 hood

While you're having a shop take a look at it, take it to a good body shop. The engine compartment has been repainted (it's supposed to be black), I would question if that really is the original paint on the rest of the car. I have been screwed over with someone patching damage and rust areas...

Anybody want to check my parts list for compatibility?

You may have an issue with the cam/timing gear/fuel pump eccentric. The early style camshafts had a longer dowel to go through the timing gear and engage the one-piece eccentric. The roller engines had a shorter dowel on the cam to just engage the timing gear, those engines that had both...

    AAAAAHHHHHHH! F%#&ING WIRING!!!

My friend has a saying when contemplating doing anything himself: If a high school dropout can do it, so can I. I've had to tell myself that a couple of times but after each project I ended up with a bit more experience under my belt and money in my pocket. If you’re not adding a lot of...

    5spd whine

The original one in my car made the same sound since I bought it four years ago. It kept getting worse until it sh1t out on me on the road. Turned out to be a bad seal causing the fluid to leak out. Wore the main shaft and bearings. My opinion? Keep an eye on the fluids until you can get it...

    I need heat!!

Thanks all, I flushed the system about two years ago and replaced the thermostat then. Looks like I'll be doing it again shortly.

    I need heat!!

It's been hovering around 0 degrees lately and it takes forever to get the car warmed up. I let it idle for 10-15 minutes in the morning but the temp guage will hit the first line only after about 20 min of city driving and will never get above the N. I'm thinking the t-stat is stuck open but...

What shifter are you guys using? When I replaced my trans a few months ago I threw in a mgw with it. After that mine grinds when going in fifth. Didn't before with stock shifter/trans.

    Anyone in the Military?

Long As Hock said you are there for one reason: to defend our country. However, you can get a great education and technical training while you're in. The best thing to do is to talk to all recruiters, Army, Air Force, Navy and Marines, active and reserve. Decide for yourself which one is best...

    Roller Engine swap Questions

I did the same thing you're doing but I haven't fired mine up yet so take what I say with a grain of salt. If you use the cam that comes with the engine than it won't have the proper dowel for a one piece fuel pump eccentric; regardless of the timing set you use. The dowel on the stock cam is...
