    starter randomly not engaging

i live in so. cal so temp is not an issue. i guess i need to clarify a bit better. it engages, but not all the way. i get the gear grinding sound. not a free wheeling sound. so the next thing... is there maybe an alignment thing going on? or something loose maybe? bottom line the solenoid is...

    starter randomly not engaging

i installed a mini starter about 8 months ago...everything good. a month ago it would start not engaging at random. it may not do it for a day or two, or it will do it all day. it seems if i turn the key to run, and wait a few seconds before starting, it seems to work. but that way is only 75 %...

    convertible window help needed

sounds to me like you need new guide bushings.how are the dew wipes? if they're worn out the window will be loose. the above mentioned items are the only things that guide the rear windows. not like the door windows which have a guide rail. the dew wipes must have good pressure on the windows...

    Convertible quarter window gap

if the window does that when the top is up, sounds like the "c" pillar needs adjustment. if the window does that when the top is down you need to adjust the window itself. there are no guide rails. the window runs on a curved pole. there's fwd and aft adjustments; tilt; front and rear stops, and...

    Convertible quarter window gap

where exactly is the gap? hard to tell with the pics. did it just start happening? i'm not familiar with a 2003, but i would imagine they're all pretty much the same. i've gotten pretty good at adjustments on my 86 vert

did headlite wire upgrade. 1 problem

i just did a headlight wire upgrade on my 86 gt. i did it the way by splicing in relays, and running power to them from the battery. everything works great except the headlight lite on the info center stays on. as if i had a burned out bulb. it turns off when i put the highs on. has anyone done...

    Is this oil alright?

my 2 cents also. i've been running valvoline straight 50 wt in my 86 gt for 20 yrs now. reason i started doing that was to overcome the dreaded 5.0 burning 1 quart every 1000 miles. beings i live in so. cal the thickness isn't a factor in wintertime. i contribute my 365,000 + original miles...
