    Rear Swap

Good point I wonder what the cost difference is of a t-lok install is vs a used 8.8 off of a GT maybe even from a junk yard just out with the old in with the new. I can do the swap myself but I would want the t-lok done by someone who knows. Thats food for thought.

I think supersixmotorsports has upto a 4.4 liter now. I think it would be cool to have a 4.6 Liter V6.

    Rear Swap

Well let me put it this way what are the limitations of a 7.5" rear ? Plus I am kind of a do it right the first time kind of person I would hate to do a killer engine mod and be able to push 300 to the wheels only to blow the rear out.

Does the weight of the rim or size affect the performance?

I agree ! Like I said I might be off with the numbers but but you missed my point all together. My point was diamater means nothing it is rotating mass that matters. Read the entire post before you imply I have a lack of common sense please. The study I read showed that even though the stock...

Does the weight of the rim or size affect the performance?

I read a study I forget who did it, I think it was Steeda or Rousch. Pretty much they had car and put about 5 different wheel tire combos on it and dyno-ed it every time. They kept the over all height of the tire the same and increased the wheel size while decreasing the tire size. They found...

    Baby Superchargers

I was thinking about these again the other day. I am electronics tech and I work with electric motors a lot. First off it would have to be able to blow more PSI then the car engine is sucking in vacuum. If you car pulls (made up number) 5 PSI of vacuum then that fan must blow at least 5 PSI to...

2005 Mustang V6 - Room for adding more horsepower?

Push Rods are the way of the past Over head Cams are where its at today. Like Penguin said why would ford go backwards with a less efficient engine that can't breath as good. I heard the same thing in 1996 when ford stopped the 5.0 and went with the 4.6. Over head cams have less moving parts...

    Duals or no Duals

I have to admit that is a pretty good idea just cut the "Y"pipe and weld it up to there. I think maybe I am going to go the route of either a custom job or buy a MAC V6 "H"pipe to V8 cat back conversion, and try to find a stock V8 cat back.

    2005 V6 automatic?

The new 4.0L V6 in the 2005 mustang is the same engine in my 2003 Ranger. I have a stick and I get 19-20 MPG. With the mustang sitting lower and better airodynamics you should beable to get better then that. Even with and auto I would expect atleast 22+MPG.
