    Just checking in

My dad and uncle took my block, heads, cam, rods and pistons to a shop in Lake Charles. When I called them on Monday, they said they could save all but the cam and pistons. Snake Farm has declaired my car as unrepairable and is currently screwing me around as far as giving me any credit for my...

    Just checking in

I haven't had internet access where I've been staying so I wanted to say hi now that I have a chance. I came back to Canada for a week to stay with my wife and get away from the mold and other hell that was my home and city. For anyone unfamiliar, my area was hit by a 20 foot storm surge brought...

    Ike drank my Fox

My uncle's place in Orangefield was high and dry. I would have taken it with me if I had been there. I leave to go home in the morning. I will most likely be staying in Orangefield.

    Ike drank my Fox

I never had it together. I've been in Canada since August 14th and I was due back September 15th. I hope I can salvage as much as possible, but I know I've got a straight uphill battle.

    Ike drank my Fox

I'm very thankful my family and pets are all ok. My dad and uncle took my engine parts to an engine machine shop in a town that was spared from the hurricane so they can work on the rust and corrosion from the saltwater. My roller lifters are trashed and no telling what else.

    Ike drank my Fox

I'm not holding my breath about the insurance. I have full coverage, but I've already got 5k in the paint job. I'll be lucky if I get blue book.

    Ike drank my Fox

My car was in the garage when the tidal wave from hurricane Ike destroyed 5,000+ houses in Bridge City alone. All but 3 inches of the roof were covered. Along with all my 393 stroker parts. I had everything for the engine minus headers, aircleaner and carb. I haven't seen any of it yet. I'm gone...

Picking a carb for my 393.

After that read and the guy from Holley calling for a 750, plus my engine machinist, I might just go for a 750HP.

LX to GT Converstion -- $$$$$$

Be sure to punch out the centers of the rivets before you drill. Make sure you bring a punch and a ball-pean hammer.

Picking a carb for my 393.

My uncle has a Cobra kit car with a stroked Windsor and a 750cfm. He says it's too small of a carb and I'm running a bigger cam.

Picking a carb for my 393.

I'm in Canada right now where it's about 15 degrees Fahrenheit. My Mustang's in Texas, but it's been here before and I had it Michigan when I worked there a few years ago during the winter months. I don't plan to bring it back up here, but if I ever do, I don't want to have to buy another carb...

Picking a carb for my 393.

The only 830 I've found with a choke is the QuickFuel. I know a choke probably isn't something that I absolutely need, but if I ever had to drive the car on a cold day, I don't want any hassles.
