Best Method for Drilling Emblem Holes in Fenders?

OK, didn't mention the center punch but it such an accepted practice that I though it to be understood. As in the case of the bit, it too MUST be SHARP. The holes for the spell outs and badges are not all that large so a "pilot hole" isn't really all that important. A QUALTITY bit starts...

302 engine swapped into a 67 coupe sixer?

The word "CHEAP" doesn't belong in the old car hobby. See "Timeless Wisdom #4" (below). Remember this guy states that he has no previous swap experience. It is also my impression that he lacks the $$$$ and probably the tools and possibly the space to pull off a successful swap with a...

    Distributor phasing????

As described, "phasing" is a myth. A Ford distributor cap fits into a notch in the distributor body thereby aligning the cap and rotor. I think someone is "pulling yor leg"!

Best Method for Drilling Emblem Holes in Fenders?

Mongo Man: Make a template from another fender and tranfer it to the new one. BTW, I do NOT recommend starting with a small bit and then going larger by "hogging out" the hole. Doing so tends to causes the bit to "walk" and distort the whole off center. :nono: :nono: :nono: BE SURE...

    The Plan

First there was "The Plan" and then came the assumptions.......... Unless you have the $$$$$$$ and skill to accomplish this, the plan is void and without form. A right hand drive conversion alone would be a challenge,

    wheel studs, how long?

I don't know the length because I don't know what differential you have or the size of your brakes. Don't you have an old lug to measure?

    Replacing rods

Very likely, knocking rods are also accompanied by crankshaft damage. In which case, replacing the rods alone will soon find opportunity "knocking" again reminding you that you should have had the crankshaft repaired/replaced also. Sorry, I have lots of experience that supports my view. :D

302 engine swapped into a 67 coupe sixer?

Several Mustang magazines have dine illustrated feature articles on the swap. Your $1,100 car will cost you HUGE bucks and will far exceed the cost of starting with a V-8 car. Of course it is your call and experience means nothing. right? :nono: :nono:

Daily Driver leaking coolant all over...

The "weep hole" reference refers to the small hole under the pump housing. It allows coolant to escape if the front pump seal is leaking. Beyond that, I choose NOT to acknowledge the reference implied 2nd Mustang. :D

    tranny???

You most likely have a C-4. "Cruiseomatic" is just name not a type. The C-4 is a fine transmission for a build up. (You "hurd" wrong.)

302 engine swapped into a 67 coupe sixer?

This issue has been discussed here so many times that to answer again is pointless. If your wallet doesn't mind, you are skilled and have lots of time, by all means DO IT. Study up on the "Times Wisdoms" (below)

    Gas consumption and Timing

:D :D :D Retarding the timing to achieve a "lope" is pretty "retarded" idea and certainly would have a NEGATIVE effect on mileage.

Installing an edlebrock intake....what do I need?

Permatex #2 is sold as it named, Permatex #2. It seals the manifold to block water passages better than RTV, which creates "worms" that plug the cooling system. Whatever you use, do so SPARINGLY as most people figure that, if a little is good, a WHOLE LOT is better. No so. :D

how much play is alowable in u-joints???

GBM: How many times can that poor truck die????   I should think a little U-joint slack would be the LEAST of it's problems! Technically, there should be NO observeable movement BUT then it IS the "GBMobile" and, just like YOU, we allow a little SLACK! Eh...

Ignition cylinder + no keys = my universal key

Ultimately, if a thief wants the car badly enough, he'll get it. The best you can do is make it more difficult to swipe.

Installing an edlebrock intake....what do I need?

clean everything throughly with solvent. Additionally, use a QUALITY intake gasket set (I like FelPro) and sealant (I use Permatex #2). Do NOT apply the gaskets dry!

Ignition cylinder + no keys = my universal key

We've discussed this many times before and I am reluctant to describe the method again. The "wrong" people might use the method for the "wrong" purpose and swipe our cars. (Yes, I use a "secret" method to disable my ignition.)

    Power Steering question

Having had both PS and non, I can say that I prefer the PS. I don't drive the car hard and feel that, for my purposes, the car handles fine. It is strictly a matter of personal preference.
