    4.10 Gears installed, questions?

After all these posts, it looks like I should have went with Ford gears instead of Motive. I intend to take the car back and get the guy to re-set them next week. Anyone know where I can find pictures posted on the internet of the correct paint/marker pattern that should be made...

    4.10 Gears installed, questions?

Hey all, Finally got my 4.10's installed on the stang. They did not seem to hurt the cars drivability in any way. (I was a bit concerned about 1st gear being too agressive) I have noticed a great improvement in 3rd and 4th gear acceleration. 5th gear is really nice, no more...

    Fog lamp trouble

Normally warranty would..... but I've tinted the lamps yellow AND put in brighter bulbs. Hate to lose the investment. Besides, the lamp output without the shroud is a little better.

    Fog lamp trouble

Has anyone had the Fog lamp bulb shroud come loose? (black thing around the bulb) Know of an easy fix? Mine fell off yesterday and is now rolling around inside the light. Its too large to fit through the bulb socket.

    cold air intake preferance

You might check www.JMSchip.com Standard MAF sensor housing and filter, but a great price on the CAI and tuner package. The tunes are custom and produce good HP!

under drive pullies and air conditioner

I've had no problems with my AC or any of the other common problems associated with under-drive pullies. Some folks running mega-watt stereos may have problems at idle. As for brand, at this point all of the photos I've seen of the different brands available look exactly the same. (hummm?)...

    A-pillar Gauge Pods

Check this link: http://store.cal-mustang.com They have 2 and 3 gauge pods... and a lot more cool stuff.

    CAI & Tuners

I got my CAI and tuner w/custom tunes from JMS chip. :D www.jmschip.com They offer several money saving kits for the 05. Go for the Xcal2 option... it is well worth the extra $25!!!! :nice: I dyno'd 289RWHP using their "economy tune" with 87 gas.

Rear end gear swap changes emissions???

Dang that is bad.... when I was living in Texas, all I needed was $20 to the right mechanic and presto.... instant inspection sticker! :p (And I had some really bad cars) Well here in NC they just test at idle. Thanks for the update....

Rear end gear swap changes emissions???

Since smog testing takes place at idle, new gears will not change the emissions. You will need to re-calibrate your speedo! I have my 4.10's on order, and should have them installed in a couple of weeks. I run with an Xcalibrator. You can hook it to your home computer and change the...

Car wouldn't run with a 1/4 tank of gas

My 2000 had a similar problem... it would not run below 1/4 of a tank. It sputtered, coughed, and died. I dropped the fuel tank and found what looked like mud around the intake filter on the pump. :notnice: The pump itself had 120K miles on it, and was basically shot. Replaced the...

    UD Pulleys

I really noticed an improvement with the STEEDA UD pullies. A real PITA to install, but worth it IMO. Since I had also installed a JMS chip CAI & custom tune, there is no telling what HP the UD pullies provided. As for the idle... no problems what so ever.

    How Much??

Well if you are even the most simplest of repairman, you can install the CAI and flash the computer yourself. JMS provides step by step instructions. The under-drive pullies are a bit more of a challange. OK... they were a PITA, but still not something I would pay someone else to do. I did...

    Will I Need?

I purchased my Xcalibrator and CAI from JMS chips. :D It came with 3 JMS custom programs already installed at no extra cost. (The Xcalibrator normally comes with 3 programs designed by Superchips) Not only did the kit save me some $, the programs are awsome. :nice: I made 288 RWHP...

    New Cam info?

Anyone hear of a company currently developing cams for the 05? I'm told that the 3V motor uses oil pressure to control the VCT.... so a more agressive cam could be fairly easy to produce. I'd like some more ponies WITHOUT having to go with NO2 or a SC.

    UD pulleys

Yes that should help..... it really depends on how much of a power drain all the normal electrical stuff and your stereo running at the same time puts on the system.

    UD pulleys

Previous under-drive pully systems I have used on my other Mustangs did have a noticable drop in altinator output at idle. With the A/C running, the headlights would dim until you accelerated. I have not noticed this or any other electrical problems with my 05 using the STEEDA set. If you...

    Climate Control System

I've had problems with the climate controls since day 1. (Dec 8th) If you want air/heat from the main dash vents.... OK. They work great! All other settings direct the air onto the winshield. So far Ford does not have a fix. (as far as I know) As for your other noises.... I have not...

If I change gears, I have to buy a programmer to correct the speedo?

I'm not certain, but you might get away with using a "speedcal". They are for sale in many of the Mustang mags for around $100. I understand your concerns about the tuner, but I'll bet the CAI you intend to install will mess up the MAF enough to need one. I went with an Xcalibrator...

    Cervini Side Pipes

I had a set of Borla side pipes on my 2000 V6. It looked waaaay cool, even without the side skirts. :nice: The sound inside the car was awsome. As for performance, I'm told side pipes usuallt do not flow as good as pipes that flow along the normal path to the rear of the car. I noticed...
