    1968 DOHC 4.6 Coupe Project

Well my life just got alot simpler I think.....hum. I wanted my car black but this is my first restoration, and gloss black with my skills is out of the question, but I might could pull this off. I sprayed SPI black yesterday, got careless and my air pressure was off so it didn`t lay down...

    1968 DOHC 4.6 Coupe Project

Its not reduced or anything? That flat black look is stunning. What would happen if a guy sprayed a flat or satin clear on that? Would it look good and hold up for awhile?

    1965 Fastback Mustang Project

Well now I know why my trunk lid opening isn`t right anymore, the guy that (a pro?) removed the lead and filled it in with filler. Now where the lead was around the trunk opening, it isn`t shaped right anymore... Looks like Brian is doing a much better job than my guy did.

Neutral saftey switch & reverse lights.

I have a T-5 and my neutral safety switch works, it was simple to fix too, but it was about 3 years ago so I cant remember exactly how I did it. I do remember using a 14.4 volt battery out of a cordless drill as a powersource to trouble shoot it while I was figuring it out though.

    Installing hood pins

It appears they go where the current hood bumpers are now. I`m curious if when I stick them in the holes where the hood bumpers are now, it looks like they`ll be leaning forward a little. With the hood closing from the direction it swings down from, I`m not sure it`ll work that way, anyway...

Fiberglass hood a little bowed...trying to fix.

I get my hood outta the box from Stangoholics, it looks great, I stick it on the car. Fits fairly well for fiberglass with the exception of where the hood meets the cowl area. It is low in the center where the hood scoop is. I took a peice of cloth and folded it up last night and wedged it...

    66 Mustang door fit issue?

You better have a bunch of patience and even better a buddy to help, that little job is one of the hardest I`ve tackled in my restoration so far.

    Splash shields

Also depends on who put them on if they are installed correctly, I just installed mine a few weeks ago, and the way I did it, I`d have to pull the fenders off to get them out. I`m not saying I did it right, thats just the way it happened. Thinking about it now though, I bet I put them on...

steel cowl vent covers for a 65.

Good feedback, thanks guys Iskwerm, that looks good, thanks for the tip about using old panels, I have alot of test panels I`ve scrapped together over the last 5 years. I noticed you said you welded yours up? I planned on laying the pieces in using panal to panel 2k adhesive, and bondo over...

steel cowl vent covers for a 65.

I know Rusty did this while back in one of his threads. I am wanting to smooth the cowl area by covering it with steel plates and bodyworking them in. I`m curious what I`m getting into. A buddy has a cnc machine, we are testing today to see what thickness of steel (testing 10 gauge to 14...

looking for advice on a carb

Find a used carb shop, I paid $65 for a used Holley 600 that totally blows the edelbrock 600 that i had prior to that. The shop flowbenched the carb before I got it, and he guarenteed I wouldn`t even have to adjust a float, and he was right, this thing is awesome.

which kind of 302 block is the best to build?

My engine builder wanted a pre 1982 block, because the crankshaft of the older blocks is more then 20 lbs heavier then the blocks after 82. He got what he wanted ...but I now wonder whats going to happen if this motor blows...can I find another decent pre 82 block? All my parts are for a 28oz...
