I hope I made a mistake sanding my car...

Yes its Slicksand (thanks to Rusty), and I can see a few low spots, but I`m having trouble just getting it off in general. Even in the middle of the hood thats sanded to death you can still see the faint spots of the guide coat and even feel them with your fingers. The sanded part of the...

I hope I made a mistake sanding my car...

I sanded it with 180 grit, epoxy primed, then polyester primer. I guidecoated it, and went to 400 grit, and this guide coat is giving me sore arms trying to get off the car. I`m thinking I shoud have guide coated before the 180 sand, and then just regular sanded after the 2nd polyester coat...

I have the roller perches too from John at Opentracker. Good upgrade with the adjustable strut arms too (makes alignments easy too). John is a good guy and wont sell you something you dont need, and his reputation is for being an honest guy goes way back in these forums.

Powdercoating the stainless trim around windows

It was my understanding that the shadowchrome was a translucent clear with a dye included to darken it up. But its is baked on so yes its a tue powdercoat. I`ll know more later I`m going to check out some of his work either today or tomorrow.

    C-TEK Battery Charger / Tender

I`ve got a 2 bank battery tender on my boat charging 2 batteries at once, the batteries are 4 years old, they live on the battery tender ALL the time, and I`ve never had to add water to the batteries. I couldn`t be more impressed with this product.

Powdercoating the stainless trim around windows

My window trim (the stainless) looks prettty junky but its all straight. I just talked to a powdercoating shop that can either shadow chrome or just black them out for me for about $5 a running foot. I`ve never tried this but I`m worried about fitment at the joints after its all done. Has anyone...

    Which wiring harness?

American Auto Wire is the way I`m going when I do mine, I`ve studied serveral others, but with the AAW the stock wiring diagram will still apply to the install, making it pretty simple (i hope anyway). I think what your looking for is the classic update harness, has extra relays and fuses built...

    65 FB door handles.

The rods are attached with a clip, simply pull the clip off the rod and try not to break it (the clip). I used a very small pair of needle nose pliers to pull mine off. It`s easy if you can get a good look at it.

What do you think of this T5 Ratio?

I have 3.55 gears and the same T-5. It`s not a bad combo, although to run interstate you`ll have to run about 75mph in 5th or the motor isn`t in the sweet spot if you know what I mean, it kinda lugs under that. At least mine does, my cam is probably taller then yours though... Let me know if...

    Advice Needed: Radiator hose conversion

Go to your local muffler shop with both size hoses and have him make a stepdown adaptor for each hose, it would be easy and cheap. Just food for thought.
