    Pulling motor on 68 Fastback

A 351C and 351M share virtually everything except the tranny bolt pattern. The 351C has the "small block" bolt pattern like a 289, 302, & 351W, while the 351M and 400 have the same tranny bolt pattern as the 429-460. The 400 is basically a stroked 351M. Other than the tranny bolt pattern the 460...

    Pulling motor on 68 Fastback

If you are going to pull the tranny with the motor, you could have the drive shaft out and tranny unbolted from the crossmember ahead of time.

    The SN65 project car

What I mean by that statement is that a plaque in the trunk does not change the look, attitude, or appeal of the car, nor would a horse trailer for that matter. As far as the Miller welder bike that was a little odd, but if some company gave me $150,000 for a bike I would tie anything they...

    The SN65 project car

I think the idea for the graphic is tasteful and attractive, and would look nice on the fender of your unique Stang. I am not sold on the "Man O War" tie in, but it is not my car. Do what you want, you have displayed excellent taste and judgement on everything with this car, so I'm sure you will...

    Which EFI kit?

You have a good point here, carbs can be made very driveable, it just takes more work and time. Most people, like me, would rather not have to worry about adjusting a carb periodically.

The Reenmachine DOHC '67 Shelby Clone Convertible Progress

This is an outstanding project! Although I can see a problem in your future, I can already hear the "Hey look, it's an Eleanor convertible" so if you can endure the "uneducated" comments carry on. What did you coat the wheel wells with? Again, cool car. I look forward to seeing it finished.

    Which EFI kit?

You might check these guys out. I'm not sure what the price is, but it looks like quality stuff. Plus it's mass air flow, not speed density like the Holly and Edelbrock stuff. Not knocking the Holly and Edelbrock units, I would just prefer mass flow over speed density...

    The SN65 project car

Sounds like you had a nice vacation. It sure seems like you deserved it. Now get back to work and finish that Mustang! Just kidding, glad to hear you made it back safe.

    Strut Conversion

Am I correct in thinking that the strut conversion is superior to the Mustang II conversion, as far as ride quality and handling? It sure seems like less work.

Need some opinion on paint sheme and theme for my 68 fastback

I like the two tone idea alot. I agree with BLAKE about moving the divide up some, and maybe curve it down at the front and back to follow the curve of the fenders. This scheme looks awesome.

    $2500

http://carcraft.com/techarticles/116_9507_wind/ I know this is based on a 351W instead of a 302, but it is almost the exact same budget. Might be worth checking out for ideas if nothing else.

    Sound deadening in a 65

Has anyone tried Line-X or Rhino Vinyl on their floorboards? I know these are intended for truck bed liners, but they look like they would work great for sealing and insulation purposes.

    302 High Performance?

    I thought there was a 302 hi-po only in '68. Befor that (65-early 68) there was the 289 hi-po, after that (69-70) there was the BOSS 302.

    Front of a 70

I have wondered this also. I have a '70 fastback, and my dad has a '69 Mach 1. It looks to me that this is very doable. I think what "1320stang" said in his post is pretty accurate. I do believe that the chrome trim on the front of the hood is different between the '69 and '70. Something else...

    another 8" vs. 9" debate...

I'm a big fan of the 8" rear, but with that kind of power I would go with the 9". I agree that a 8 could make into the 11's, but for how long. For miles and miles of durability with that kind of power go 9".
