    What C4 do you guys run and why?

    67-69 VB's are different than the 70 and up's. I tried this last year with a 69 C4, and it wouldn't work. Different VB's. Now I have 3 C4-C5's ready for this year after popping the 69 last year.

    If you have changed bearing retainers, I have questions for you...

    If your bearing retainer broke, check your pilot bearing very carefully. I had one do it and it turned out the pilot bearing was the real cause of the retainer breaking.

    Pinion shaft lock bolt SNAPPED!

    Something you might try is a left handed drill bit. You'll need to center punch the bolt to get the small bit to stick, but I've had great success with those. The bolts have all just backed right out. Good Luck!

    You're right, so let me give you the number from the 88 GT, I'm sure you would agree it is a Fox. With the Stock Engine, Stock Throttle body, Stock MAF, and Stock Air box, the car ran 13.30 @ 100 mph. Chaning to the even cheaper $34.95 CAI from Ebay, it ran 12.98 @ 104.

    When doing some research on this subject, here's what I found from my machinist. We looked at Comp Cams 842 series. They would have to be machined to fit properly on the GT40 heads. We ended up using the TFS 200 kit, because I was using 1.7 RR's and a TFS Stage 1 cam. No machining required...

    I've read the tech articles too that say the stock air box with the silencer removed and a K&N works just as well if not better. We did this experiment on the 04 GT. Went to the track, ran the car with the stock air box, K&N, silencer removed. The car went 14.30, 14.32, and 14.31 in stock...

    What size belt with no smog or ac?

    I have it installed using a 70.5" belt and do not run either deletes, and I run the tensioner with the belt above and below it. Works like a champ!

    Removing the inner heater boxes & Vents

    I took the one out of the 88. Wasn't too bad, there are 2 or 3 bolts inside, and 3 outside as I recall. Once those are loose, the heater hoses off, and the AC disconnected, make sure all the interior controls are disconnected. Once all that is done, loosen the dash, and it will work right...

    Help! Fogs blown out, not a relay/fuse/bulb

    Do you have voltage at the relay? If so, check the connection to the fog light output side of the relay. If none is there, unplug the fog lights from the relay, and recheck the relay side. If no voltage, the relay is bad, if there is voltage, there is a short somewhere in the fog light harness.

    what kind of transmission does

    We went through 2 3650's on the 04 GT. Got a new UPR Extreme shifter, took care of most of the issues once I fixed the transmission myself that Ford couldn't fix.

    car lost some power?

    Weather can put you off that much. I've been off as much as .8 in the 1/4 depending on temp and more importantly, humidity. As WJ says, these engines don't burn water.

    I just put in one from a 93 from the parts store. Works like a champ. The 93 starters are smaller, and have the gear reduction.

    tko to c4 swap

    I did this conversion in the 88, and I love it! Went from a T5 though, so I didn't have to change the yoke. Even with the 4.10 gears, it's still good. You don't need the kick down with a manual valve body though.

    40th Anniv 40th Anniversary Stangers...

    Black actual 40th. One other thing is the floor mats in the 40th package. I also have a 1965 Thunderbird Special Landau, actual 10th anniversary model of that one.
