93 5.0 Microsquirt with Stage 3 trickflow tuning issues

You have your closed loop idle RPM set for 1200-1100 at startup, and to come down to 875 by 140 degrees. So if you want to make changes to your idle RPM, this is the menu to do it from. But from what I see 875 is your target RPM over 140 degrees coolant temp. Since you moved your throttle...

93 5.0 Microsquirt with Stage 3 trickflow tuning issues

Warmup will be rich. Probably will be around 12.0 when it first fires, but as warmup enrichment tapers off, you should start to get to 13.0-13.5 AFR as you approach 180 degrees. I had to guess a little so I purposely went rich. You’ll prob need to take out some fuel I set the o2 correction to...

93 5.0 Microsquirt with Stage 3 trickflow tuning issues

Tune is a mess. The AFR table it too lean, and your VE table is not smooth. You have high numbers next to low numbers. That's going to swing your AFR wildly. You also do not have EGO correction turned on, so the EGO won't make any adjustments. I made some changes. I added a bunch of fuel...

Can't open tune yet on this PC so will need to look later. What size injectors are you running?

Electrical Why does my fox body keep frying eecs

Was this car always a 5-spd? Two things I'd check. I'd physically look at the O2 jumper and verify it's correct for year/transmission. And then i would put a DMM on pin 46 and check for voltage to ground during key on, and crank. You can do this with the ECU unplugged.

Engine My engine dies after running 10 to 15 minutes under high heat.

SO when it does. Does it restart easily? Does it not restart until cooled down?

Mustang5L5’s progress thread - Rear window fun

There is no high pressure switch. It’s a mechanical relief valve. When you get over 450psi it just vents. However looks like the relieve is not a one-time use thing if I’m holding pressure. Need to get my gauges on it and see how much exactly

But 3-4 years later? It wasn’t even that warm when this happened. I’ve driven on 95+ humid days without issue. I think it was barely 80 when this happened. I also filled by weight, and pretty sure I stayed towards the low end Liquid line was an NOS piece. I have a 2nd NOS unit as well...

Still had pressure, but compressor is difficult to turn. Difficult to say the cause. Did orifice clog which is preventing the compressor from pushing refrigerant, or is this a compressor issue. Regardless. Not something I’m gonna dig into right now.

Post pics of how your foxbody currently sits

They are Corbeau. A few years back they offered matching seat covers for the back seat that matched their front seats. So it’s my original rear seat just recovered in their kit. I actually don’t know if they still offer these kits anymore. I always intended to recover the rear seat to...

Two steps forward, one back. Pulled the car out and started retuning it. Got my WUE and ASE pretty close. Can’t really tune much under 80 degrees until fall but TBH I don’t see myself driving this under 60 degrees ambient anyway. But she stays around the right AFR now. Took it for a drive...

    Sooty/Oily Front Engine & Pulleys

This could be an old leak that was since repaired. What I’d do here is degrease the hell out of everything and get it all clean and grease free, and monitor. If it’s an active leak, you will see it rear its head again. And of course, check oil level along the way.

Drivetrain Downshifting from 3rd to 2nd issue

Generally speaking, one good way to see if things a clutch engagement issue vs trans is if you push the clutch in and just wait 10-15 seconds or so and then try to into gear or reverse. If the clutch fully disengages it should allow enough time for the trans to spin down and for the gear shift...

Drivetrain Tail Shaft bore odd shape

That’s not supposed to be there. My guess is that trans was dropped/hit on that corner. Maybe you can work it back into shape with the right tool/technique, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it cracks during that process and leaks.

    Foxbody trans swap

The top cover that says Tremec is the post-98 T5, however the two input shafts appear to be the same lenght. So possible that was swapped Fox shaft should be 7.1” long and sn95 is 7.9” long. However, it seems they reused the sn95 bearing retainer and didn’t cut it down??

    A/C Issues

Well, you have to vacuum the system down. If you filled it at atmospheric pressure, you have a charge that includes a lot of air and won't cool at all. You are going to have to put a vac pump on it and vacuum it for a LOOONG time if this is the case. Likely a lot of moisture in the system now...
