    01 Cobra problems

    my tranny was a little notchy and the drivetrain sounded a little weird, but once the mods came along and the car got faster. . . . .. . i really dont complain!!! The cobra is a nice car, ricer's dont stand a chance :barf: Rice Burners

    Thanx alot, I'll probably just try to beef up the IRS since I drive it everyday. Can you really tell a big difference, suspension wise, between the solid and IRS? I'm asking bc if the ride is not that bad, I might just change to a solid axle.

    I was about to start working on the traction and I was wondering if it was even worth it. Do you think it would just be better off getting a solid axle than try to build up this IRS?

    Test Drove a 01 cobra

    i bought mine for 25k with about 24K miles. The tranny was a little weird to get used to but i dont complain anymore with my B&M shifter. Do some mods and you wont be sorry!! You'll like it

    i have a mineral gray 01 too!! anyways, i thought the same thing! I experimented taking off both ways and i actually ran more with the traction control on! everytime it was off i spun everywhere, and that TCS ON just seemed to pull so hard but then i solved that problem with some Nitto's !! now...

    What kind of gears do they come stock with cuz i got 4:10's and he stayed with me the whole time!!! When i hit 4th, i pull pretty hard so i was thinking maybe the person before him put some 3:73's or something. What do you think?

    Thanx alot, now that i read these posts, i'm gonna try to put the springs on my self instead of paying for it. I knew I could do it, it's just that IRS that was delaying me!! anyways, you have a nice car. . . . how does that Vortech compare to Prochargers? Are they pretty much the same?

    Eibach lowering springs and IRS.....PITA???

    I have an 01 cobra with longtubes that hang i little lower than regular or mid-length headers, does anyone know if dropping 2" would be too low? You know, as in putting a nice "ding" in my headers everytime I hit a bump :doh: Or should I just go with a 1-1/2" drop?
