    Autolite closing

I run 9s in my motor , 20511r heads NGK5238 R5671A-9 NGK heat ranges work backward so if you wanted a little warmer plug -8 or -7 Colder would continue to go up in number. These are non resistor though.

I can confirm this on multiple 1300-1600 plus hp cars

    Autolite closing

Just a little tip from all the small tire racing stuff. NGKs are easier to plug read while tuning. You’ll usually hurt the plug or see something is going on before it gets real bad where as for some reason it will hurt an auto lite and it’s always a little to late.

Trick Flow Series R to Box R Upper Intake Road Block

I know , I’m just talking because you were welcoming all input I suspect the cam spec is soft to fit everyone’s needs. I think a proper cam shaft would make some really good gains

Trick Flow Series R to Box R Upper Intake Road Block

I’ll be honest for all the work, I’ll bet you talk to a reputable cam guy like Brian Freezy ( who I use ) , Ed Curtis , and or Bullet themselves and there’s a lot left on the table for a camshaft hp wise while keeping the same drivability. Again for all this work this would pick up more then the...

Trick Flow Series R to Box R Upper Intake Road Block

You have to run a ignition box with this as well if you don’t have one You get the distributor which plugs into your Ignition plug on the main harness. The white points wire gets hooked from the lose wires in the main harness now to the msd box points wire. Msd feeds the coil and that’s it.

When you start to mill that spacer you have to watch the upper intake getting Into the distributor cap especially with that big ass stock distributor. All this to me is not worth on your comvo going from a standard r upper. I doubt you’re going to notice any difference

I understand , just so you know TFS twisted wedge heads work with the stock pistons to but that’s not the convo here. Especially with a stock cam. I had those same rockers years ago they are the same as 93 cobra rockers. All the shims end up realistically doing is making up for pushrod...

What are you checking ? Pushrod length or just shimming your rockers. I didn’t realize those heads still use pedestal rockers Shimming your rockers , that ive never had to do I never ran pedestals except on a used engine I had but that didn’t last long. So I can’t comment it sounded like you...

How are you checking this ? To measure technically you should be used a solid lifter or a modified Hyd that the plunger won’t collapse. 1/2 turn to 3/4 preload on the stud mount rockers from zero lash. I’ve found some lifters like a little Less then others.

I use studs on everything as well it’s a pain in the ass to lift the intake when it needs to come off but the assembly experience is night and day Also I usually retorque about 3-4 times in sequence before I even start it Let it sit 15-20 min and it’ll be loose again and re tq

If that’s an explorer id just put another back on it , If you don’t need the spacer remove it or be mindful when tightening it down
