    do not use synthetic oil

Mobile 15-50 . . . 409 Stroker, 500 hp, 157k miles, 30th and 40th Mustang Anniversary Show in Nashville on the same motor. NO major repairs (alternator . . . I think . . . and a water pump). Intervals between changes? 15 years, and never "changed" the oil. It does that for me! LOL! Leaks...

a bit of engine swap advice...

Cost is no object? Awesome. First, forget a parts car. Lame. Plus that parts car in 5 years from now will be someone's restoration project ;). Why chop up someone else's dream to give you the opportunity of equipping your 300+ hp Mustang with a 40 year old questionable used/abused part...

Kaase wins Engine Masters, Fords rule again

Well, I'm seriously considering building another stroker Windor in a couple of years, and I want to make sure I have an idea an what the best equipment is. I SERIOUSLY considered building a blower motor (Windsor), but I can barely keep my n/a motor cool in the summer.

Kaase wins Engine Masters, Fords rule again

:D Wow, all THREE of you posted here! LOL!!! :D :D Okay, seriously, I know the Clev is a good motor (top side especially). It's just the Windsors are more supported. The AFR heads cost about the same as the KAASE Windsor heads (from what I remember), and they flow more. I'll have to...

Kaase wins Engine Masters, Fords rule again

Okay, so they're testing new Clev heads, and those are the ones that won? Great . . . the three people in the world running Cleveland motors should be thrilled. LOL! Any news about the Windsor KAASE heads? Last I heard, the AFR's were still better.

Kaase wins Engine Masters, Fords rule again

So, are the AFR heads better than these? I'm talking about the AFR heads that beat the KAASE heads in the last magazine test?

Do you use your classic as your daily driver? Pros and Cons?

Well, she's been more or less a daily driver since 1986. I know all the cons, but I just can't leave her in the driveway for long, you know? I do NOT do snow . . . of any kind. In Tennessee, we get snow, but it never stays. We DO get black ice, though, and there's no driving in it short of...

Correct me or make fun of this person

I was on that site looking at a buddy's blog. That's all. I got sucked into the Automotive threads. What a mistake. Anyway, the site is basically full of "kids" who have an array of European Supercars dispersed among their daily Cobras and Shelby's. And no matter what, the guy who posts...

Correct me or make fun of this person

http://forum.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=messageboard.viewThread&EntryID=109821&categoryID=20 Um . . . I'm either crazy or this guy should run for some kind of political office. In short, he had a 347 stroker, 10.5:1 with an 18psi supercharger AND 150 hp shot of NO2. I could let it...

    Kaase Heads

    351 strokeability questions

409 cubes, 510 hp, 150k+ miles (built in '94). It went to the 30th Anne show AND the 40th . . . same motor . . . same tranny . . . same rear. Different water pump. That's it. GREAT motor.

    351 strokeability questions

Yeah, I think the question is "why?" If it costs you a chunk of change to get 306 cubes, why not throw in a little more dough for 408 cubes?

'65 Pony Int: Roll Cage and Seats

SERIOUSLY looking at caging the inside of my car, and I want to ask the group some things: * Who has the best cage setup (street driver . . . just looking to save my life in an 'Oh Jeebus' event)? * Who makes some GOOD aftermarket seats that look cool in a blue/white pony interior that...

    Shelby Drop Alignment Specs

The people I've spoken with say go back to the standard alignment per the factory or absolute neutral. I've run that for years, and, for a street driven car, it seems to work fine.

    Considering purchase - advice needed

Uh, I met a REAL woman BECAUSE of my Mustang. Remember this . . . always trust the one you love. You spend time with her . . . probably more than anyone else. You're closer to them and you trust them with your life. ALWAYS listen to them when you're considering a life partner...

I rear-mounted the battery and put the amp and cd-changer right beside it. Pretty handy for the wiring, you know?

    Considering purchase - advice needed

I look at it like this. He wants $10,500 for a car that you're ASSUMING alot about. A town away from me, there's a DECENT '66 V-8 coupe for $4k. It needs paint, generic body work, and some interior work. For $6,500, jeebus, it would be a showcar to some degree. No, not PERFECT, but a...

Mach 1 How long until the last mach??

We TRIED to get a Mach 1 Thursday. Every dealer in the area said there were 5 left (and they all agreed on color and location, so we took them as legit). We bought a yellow '04 from Ohio. Signed all the papers, and were told to come and get it Saturday. Thursday NIGHT, we got a call...
