Roush notch wings, with or without trunklight?

1986 Saleen hatchback used the part store 3rd brake light. The 1987-1993 Saleen coupes used the 'vert wing with the Ford 1986-1993 'vert trunk brake light.

Roush Difference Between 2004 S281 and GT???

The 2004 NA S281 gains a free-flow air filter, MagnaFlow catback, and a tune. In 2003-2004 Saleen redid the stock Ford seats. Transmission is OE Ford except for the shifter. Rear end... stock Ford unless someone ordered the optional gearing and/or MaxGrip. One thing to keep in mind...

Roush 99-04 Blue & Black fader stripes

Call or email PAS to make sure, but the width should be the same on all the years the chevrons were used. The height would be modified to fit the then current bodystyle.

Roush Suprised noboy mentioned this coupe

I think I see a line of screws going across the rear valence panel. I looked at 88-0031, that was located in PA. A white hatch. It was a low mile (30K?), one owner car that looked like it sat outside for 20 years. The wear in the seat can happen. Depends on the owner(s) and how sloppy...

Roush Suprised noboy mentioned this coupe

Was this the white one in PA? The white, gray '88 coupe? The Damerow cars are/were all 5-speeds with no power door locks or windows. I think $9,000 is pretty strong for a Saleen coupe that needs a restoration. In some ways the Damerows are more common, like they're the SSCs of the...

Roush The coupe went to the body shop yesterday

Above is what a factory knob from an SVO looks like. The SVO version had the Hurst logo stamped into the leather. What your Saleen probably cam with is the Ford Motorsport version of this knob. This one looks just like the above knob, but has the Ford Motorsport logo stamped into it (Instead...

Roush The coupe went to the body shop yesterday

Yes. The only white and blue interior coupe. (Using/By the old Redeker Book). The registry also stated an SVO shift knob was used instead of the Saleen sourced one. This tu-tone blue is neat. Kinda' like the '88 SporTrucks. Good luck! :nice:

Roush another question about this coupe

88foxsaleen had the ARE version which were different than the DPs in the face and cap. The smooth spoke GT Sport AREs were also 16x7 while the Saleen DPs are 16x8. I guess too... keep in mind these were wheel manfactures that would offer whatever to the public. So, there's probably 4 lug...

Roush another question about this coupe

Tons of good info up above. Contact Patti at Team Saleen for your build info. Wheel color should be on the list. As for other wheel info. I was always under the inpression that there were defaults. White cars with blue stripes had white wheels, white cars with sliver had silver wheels...

Roush 89 saleen steering wheel question

Good catch. I think the smaller one is the 320. Saleen used 350mm. Too much crap in my head.:nice:

    Roush Wow! $54K for a 93?

I would keep things period/ era correct. Cosmetically not much that would deviate from the late ‘80s to mid 1990s. Visibly parts from the Saleen catalog (or parts made by their suppliers) and vintage Motorsport stuff. Like the FRPP small block shorty headers are different than then old...

    Roush Wow! $54K for a 93?

By the time someone sources the Saleen parts and a solid LX or GT... they could have purchased a project Saleen in need of cosmetics and/or mechanics. When building a clone, at the end of the day its still a clone. Then other bystanders will say "...it's only a clone" and maybe "...what a...

    Roush Wow! $54K for a 93?

For me, if depends on the quality of the work and what parts were used. Updates that are hidden or hard to spot are cool. Personally I'm a fan of period stuff. So, I would not turn an eye on a tasteful modded Saleen if a percentage of the parts can be traced to the SPP catalog and/or and...

Roush 89 saleen steering wheel question

Make sure its a 320mm in width. I think I've seen some VW guys using narrower wheels. Good luck with the coupe!

Roush HELP PLEASE... Anyone with info on 96-394 (saleen book)

If you pick up a Saleen... make sure to invest in a copy the Saleen Book by Brad Bowling. Hours of fun. :nice: http://www.bradbowling.com/
