Yes you need to keep the plate's to reuse. With the suspension kit you are installing C/C plates will not be needed. But do get the alignment checked shortly after the install. :nice:

I've been running a TRANSGO shift kit for about 1,600 with no issues. Like everyone else has suggested you should opt for an aftermarket tranny cooler.
Does anyone know if there is a company that sells a conversion package that includes everything you need to convert an auto trsnny car to a manual tranny? Thanks.
Here are the torque specs for anyone who is planning on doing a swap like this:
UPPER INTAKE PLENUM - TORQUE BOLTS TO 7 ft./lbs.
EGR - TORQUE BOLTS TO 18 ft./lbs.
THROTTLE BODY - TORQUE BOLTS TO 7 ft./lbs.
1 in./lb. = .083 ft./lbs.

I do reccomend a shift kit if you're not happy with it's shifting manners. You will find many pro's and con's in this forum about shift kits but I have had no issues with mine.
You can always buy a programmer and change the shift pionts and pressure. Be sure to add a good tranny oil cooler if you modify the tranny in any way. Also, when was the tranny oil and filter changed last?
