My mustang and I should be world records

But, it would still be ONLY a 2009 GT500KR that anyone could buy, not a 69. Enjoy your car and know you have not spent it in vain.

    Barrett Jackson thoughts

You are 100000000% right. I know this from experience and I am about 99.5% done with mine. I keep getting small hurdles on finishing it with failing health, but I am determined to finish this car. My plans are to drive it EVERYDAY and enjoy it. I know it will be nice, and worth everything I...

    Spring mounts

I used the regular ones and had to make 'minor' arc adjustments to get them to fit prior to welding. I didnt remember much more than 1/8 BEFORE cleaning them up. I guess my 8.8 was a bit on the smaller side????

    Rear Seat Upholstey Help

I dropped it off and we had a lengthy discussion on burlap, jut padding, foam, etc... he explained why everything was there and for what I am looking, it is going to get a combination of all of it. The juting/burlap is to protect the foam from the springs and give the user a 'non' spring...

MustangProject.com shelby tail light, anyone btdt?

I used the Mustang Project Lights and their panel. You can see the most recent pics of my car at my cardomain site. I hope they are close enough for you to see the difference. I made a stainless steel panel to cover up the original light holes so water would not get in. I also used the flip...

    Rear Seat Upholstey Help

That is what I was thinking... I dont know why the other told me 4 hours and 250. I feel that was a bit excessive. I am sure I could have figured it out, as it doesnt sound too hard... but time is my enemy right now. I have fewer days I feel good and actually feel like working on it and...

    Rear Seat Upholstey Help

I stopped by another place and he said 100... I am at least going to bring him the pieces and see what he has to say officially. I guess I cant say I did the whole car 100% at this point, but I am just glad to be alive versus 100% of the car... my goal is still the end of Dec and we have alot...

    1967 Coupe Side Window Adjustments

I have some pictures and I thought I had posted a few in the past. It was a nightmare to get it all and I only have ONE side setup properly. It probably took 20 adjustments to get it all, but it does work nice once it is all done. Only thing I didnt do was replace the regulators (I am...

    Rear Seat Upholstey Help

Ok, me again... I just got a quote from an upholstery shop for me to take the seat to them (they quoted 4 hours of work) and they will replace all foam/burlap/padding (everything) and charge me 225 to put my seat cover on... what do you think? For that, I might just have to try it myself...

    Rear Seat Upholstey Help

Thanks, I took it apart yesterday and there are some nastly looking spots in that batting/fabric under there... almost look like mold, but it didnt grow. I noticed some stuff on the web showing a guy putting the underlayment around the metal framing to soften the look and help with tearing...

    Rear Seat Upholstey Help

At what point do you replace the burlap? I am going to take it all apart today. If the metal is still intact with the burlap, leave it and reuse it? If the metal is coming out, replace it? Ect? Thanks so much.

    Rear Seat Upholstey Help

I have searched the web and most help is with the front seats. I need help with the rear. It is in OK condition, but the canvas and metal strips inside the canvas are showing some wear (its a 67) Is it best to replace all that and the foam, or reuse it? Where do you get the canvas with...

Where in N. TX are you? I am in the Keller area. I will also need to know if they are required. I will be putting them in though and considered the retractable kits for those as well. Do you have a cardomain site, or pics... send me the address. Please check mine out and my goal is the...

Need help, 67 pillar pad install

I need help installing the new pillar pads. The car orginally came with them, but they were in terrible shape and quickly removed and discarded. Now that it is time to install the new ones, I cannot figure out how to do this.... the headliner was easier than these. There are two sets of...

    Length of Resto time?

I didnt mean to derail it this much... I was simply stating the facts and I was SUPPOSED to be done... and didnt really make it. I am still very hopeful that the end of the year will be my goal... that way the AC wont matter till next spring after I worked out all the little bugs, etc. my...

welding in a '67 coupe battery tray, 1 question

The 67s didnt have it on the dash... that started in 68. Mine was on the left (drivers side) and on the AC tag... thats it. I would probably cut around the vin area (LARGE area) and replace the whole fendor apron. Weld both sides, grind it down and you should not be in any trouble. Also...
