Progress Thread The next "big" project for my Cobra - T-top conversion coming soon!

Well.... This is an apparent tuning issue that I have absolutely NO idea about how to handle. I've checked for leaks (both vacuum and fuel), set and checked the IAC and reset the TPS more than once, and raised and lowered fuel pressure all with no real improvement. I've searched and found one YT...

Damn! Did you say something? Sorry, I couldn't see it, something blinded me.... He did one helluva job! :nice: (I'm not a big chrome.... uh.... shiny guy either! ;))

Brakes are done. It's been a day though.... Apparently the body epoxy I used to attach the fiberglass cover to the bumper reinforcement doesn't work for fiberglass to steel. I bumped my head on the corner and it popped off..... that made my day! :fuss: Then, after I finished bleeding the...

Progress Thread The next "big" project for my Cobra - T-top conversion coming soon!

Woke up way too early this afternoon, since I couldn't get back to sleep I ran out to the garage - Stumpy's subframe connectors are installed. Here are a few pics of the process: First order of business was removing the forward spring support bolts and breaking the spot welds for the retaining...

Rear brake shoes are swapped, the new rear brake hose is installed, and the axles are in. Got the front brakes torn apart now - calipers and hoses are removed and pulled the rotors to have them turned. When I pulled the passenger side caliper I found that the outer brake pad decided it wanted...

Slept a few hours this morning, then got up and decided to swap the bearings anyway as it only made sense. Made the trek into my nearest O'Reilly's for a pair of bearings and got that done now. :nice:

Didn't really get as much done on the car as I wanted to so far this weekend. But the axles are pulled, the bearings seem to be fine. Pulled the leaky seal and I decided that I'll wait until I get the replacements before I pull the other. Opened one bleeder on the front calipers the other day...

    T5 identification

I don't think you can tell what version of the transmission you have without either having it out of the car and opening it up or having the tag. In any event, this is a link that I find most helpful for ID'ing T5s. Maybe it could help you? :shrug...

Wheels-Tires Wheel/tire Combos Known To Fit

Finally upgraded the tires - Nitto 275/50-15 fit the rear well! Need the lip rolled, but I think we all would have already guessed that.

Didn't get anything done on the car yesterday, but I did notice while I was working on it the other day that I have a bad seal on the driver side axle. So I'm waiting on axle seals before I finish the drums. But I took the wheels and tires in to a shop and dropped them off yesterday, picked them...

I started the night off bleeding the master cylinder, so that's now ready to install. Then it was back to the fuel system. The good news: it runs again! But - I pulled the tank and fuel pump and in the process found that a wire came out of a connector as I went to pull it apart. That led me...

    95 gt engine vibration

Welcome to :SN: ! FWIW, the cracked rubber may not mean anything. But I have had a sudden vibration and found out that the balancer broke on me at the crank snout for whatever reason. Replacing the balancer fixed my issue (obviously). You'll know if that's the issue the minute you remove the...

    Random Mustang II Pictures

Not at home and bored again tonight, figured I'd ask AI to render my next II project if I ever do another. This is what I envisioned for the old Mach 1 that I used to have way back when and the direction I'd go. :)

I get that too. I don't know if I'd like those that you've shared mainly because the lugs are so close to the edge of the outer diameter of the center of the wheel. The other thing, and it may be different in person, is the fact that they're essentially black but the lug holes are bright. They'd...

Well, if you did decide to splurge and pick up new wheels, I think these look good. They're not badly priced individually, but I get it that it's a pricey overall purchase. :( https://www.summitracing.com/parts/vsw-521h5734b0
