    Yup. I've set it to 1500RPM just to see. Cranked it with the fuel pump off and coil wire pulled. Still says Y for RUn when i'm clearly in crank. Might have to send an email to DIYautotune

    The T5 didn't really get a reverse until around late 1992. It was more of a reverse brake than a synchro, and was prone to the reverse cone having the tabs crack off making it relatively useless.

    Stock ignition. It's the plug and play MS3 unit so no wiring changes were made. I am logging RPM but no matter what configuration I select it still shows Run:Y during crank. Engine starts and runs fine..was just an interested observation.

    Yes. Likely an 87-89 spec T5 rated for 265 ft-lbs. Of course, not guaranteed. Would need to open to confirm the gearset. Wasn’t uncommon to put the 90+ guts in these during a rebuild back when the gearsets were pretty cheap.

    There is a date code cast into the side case of the T5. While I realize at this point many T5s have been rebuilt a few times, so it’s not definitive, it’s one way to at least try to narrow down what year the T5 is front. The date code will be a circle with a 2-digit number in it.
