    They should change the name of E-Z outs to Not So E-Z outs. If a bolt is seized enough in place and breaks when you try and remove it,an E-Z out will most likely break as well.

    OT: Know anything about Thunderbird SCs?

    They are heavy cars and I think the 3.8L is known for blowing head gaskets. The 3.8L engine is known for getting rough at higher rpm`s. I was talking to a guy at a gas station years ago who had a newer SC. He was adding oil and said the engine liked using oil.

    1.7 ROCKERS

    I have Crane 1.7`s with the valve cover baffle removed and no oil makes it`s way up. Roller rockers,(at least these Crane) have smaller oil passages and don`t piss out oil like stock rockers.

    How stiff are the valve springs?If these are the puny 5/16" stock rocker bolts,I doubt they can take a lot of spring pressure. If one broke,others may break as well.

    Explorer cam... .264 int .280 exh lobe lift advertised duration 256 int 266 exh overlap 30* lobe center 118* int 114* exh I`d use the HO cam for now,it`s more aggressive.

    Did you floor it in 5th gear? That`s hard on a T-5.Always downshift out of 5th gear to pass.

    What are the symptoms of bad lower manifold gaskets?

    If it`s leaking where the manifold meets the head,I would try retorquing the lower manifold bolts first. They may be loose.

    No oil baffle on the Typhoon...brilliant. I wonder how many have installed the intake unaware of this and wonder why their engine is using oil? Junk! I`ve read the BBK SSI intake likes sucking oil up the PCV as well. What`s with the aftermarket?:notnice:

    Battery Cables

    The thread starter has a 95 GT. I think the battery cables on these cars are crazy.All kinds of things connected to them.That`s why they cost so much. Different than the fox body set up.
