Interior and Upholstery TMI cloth/tweed interior, is it anything like the original cloth?

Opal, and I agree I'd take opal over black or any other factory option any day... Had it in my red 90 coupe since late 90's with leather seats and a ton of other stuff snagged from a wrecked 93 cobra and the rear seats where done to match them, still got them. the 90-92 Titanium grey fades to...

Progress Thread No Clear 92 (Lack of) Progress thread

Ah yeah either need a full size one or stack 2 of those to clear. Looks like the China 75 billet t-body. clearance shouldn't be a problem once its spaced out to the the stock location, my egr hasn't been hooked for up almost 10 years in my beater gt, heads don't even have the ports for it...

Remove the spacer, I hate those damn things unless its a billet nitrous plate. I never torque the uppers, just hand tight with a 1/4" ratchet or one of those palm gimble ratchets if it's got some pita to reach bolts.. Never cracked one. As for the belt its the aftermarket ps bracket, its was...

Interior and Upholstery TMI cloth/tweed interior, is it anything like the original cloth?

It's available, just you have to be nuts to pay what they want for the material lol. the grey tweed usually doesnt fade that bad, it water stains like no ones business though, I'll post up the set I just shampooed when there dryed out, they looked like complete ass, filthy, covered in hair and...

Interior and Upholstery TMI cloth/tweed interior, is it anything like the original cloth?

Yeah, that's pretty well known, only one place has the original fabric and you will pay stupid prices for it, SMS at $200+ a yard. Better to buy donor seats and use the material to replace the worn bolsters by an upholstery shop or seamstress or do the flipper hack and use a decent passenger...

    TPs sensors different?

There not chrome, just polished aluminum..... The cheapy China Ford billet 75mm isn't a bad one for the price and comes in black or brushed aluminum just no spacer, pretty much the old Holley design rip off. Accufab doesnt use seals either on majority of there units just pressed bearings...

Exhaust Difficulty of fixing exhaust leak at manifold

Bbk ball and socket system is terrible for leaks, you may need to either expand the ball on the header or compress the socket on the mid pipe and load it with red or copper rtv, I cut them off at this point if there long tubes and use a v band or Torca clamps like these branded under Holley...

new :poo: box, may need to hit you guys up for 79-82 info when i fix thIs turd.

Finally found some cheap 87-89 gt seats. time to clean these up, brace the frames, fluff a new layer of foam over the old and use the acme black leather coupe upholstery set I've had sitting in a box forever. Funny the tweed is in decent shape on these, besides filthy. They should clean up...

    speedmaster new 302 block?

Different grade iron, harder too. Germany one is way more modern technology casting, they look almost black in color, way less scrap in casting from pours with voids and porosity issues. Side by side those blocks really show how far behind us iron industry is from greed and neglect of the PE...

Probably a short to gound with that rats nest someone's been in the harness before, you probably pinch a wire or one of the exposed wires is touching metal some where and grounding. Would definitely trace those red wires, is it a Maf swap pre 89 car or something? If you heard a pop, you let the...

You can get a cheapy bore gauge kit for like $35 on Amazon these days if your worried, Idk if they still honor 2 day deliver though lol.. You grabbing a new or used one?
