    FWIW, it would have been nice to have a compressor and my cutoff wheel while doing this alternator swap. Instead, I was out there with a rasp, grinding down the alternator bracket by hand. What doesn't kill me makes me stronger I guess.

    Maybe I'll go over to my buddy's house where I store my tools and fire up the compressor. I'm not trying to change pullies without an impact gun. Not like it will take me long to switch back if I didn't like it.

    It is definitely a bigger pulley on the 3g. The idler sits higher. The only thing I notice is that I have a slight flicker on the voltmeter at idle. Are you sure you aren't overspinning it with the smaller pulley though? I still have my core, so I can switch pulleys if it is a good idea..

    Is it recommended to swap pulleys from the 2g to the 3g when doing the conversion? I used a 94-95 mustang gt 130 amp alternator.

    The catback kit would have fit well if I weren't running a pypes x pipe which is too long. I will say that Pypes provides excellent customer service. They did everything in their power to minimize the pain. And I got their catted x pipe very shortly after it came out. I have NO complaints...

    I have the pypes catback, and it's in no way too loud at idle or under moderate acceleration. It took a while, but it has gotten louder under full acceleration now. I run an x pipe, so it's kind of raspy, but I have no noticable drone. All in all, I'm ok with the sound, but won't use them...

    I don't see that you pulled codes. If you did, what did you get? If not, pull them. If I failed by 30 ppm, I'd do an oil change and an air filter and go right back. Out of curiosity, what is your fuel pressure?
