If you are inputting the maf transfer, it is immaterial what injectors were on the car that the MAF matches up to. If you are going that route, I'd recommend a 90 mm Lightning MAF. If you need a transfer for it, let me know.
LMAF for $100
I already have a cam. Comp 284hr. It will be too close with the stock pistons. I'm going to get dished pistons with the stroker kit, so I will have plenty of room.
Not locked in on the 331 thing. I was reading a thread by a good speed shop owner/builder up here and he was of the opinion that the 331 was the one to go with. FWIW, I'm primarily going with the stroker kit because even with my trick flows, I'd still have to notch the pistons.
Why? I've read that while DSS shortblocks are crap due to assembly procedures, their rotating assembly is pretty good. I've also heard nothing but good about Probe. What makes the Probe better? The cost is within $80 of each other.
331 because I was reading a little about piston dwell time and how the longer dwell time of a 347 makes it slightly more prone to detonation. I have a supercharger, so I figured I'd be better off that way.
PM'd on the other thing.
May I make a recommendation? LoJack Car Security System for Stolen Vehicle Recovery
Or just do what I do. Take the fuel pump relay with you every time you leave the car.
And that way, he doesn't have to convert it to an aero car. If you need parts, I'm trying to get rid of parts from an 88 motor(forged). Crank, rods, pistons, heads, cam, upper and lower intake, etc.. Free if you pay for shipping. The only thing I'm keeping are the sensors and the block.
Last thing that immediately comes to mind is people who do a mass air swap into a speed density car have similar problems because they don't have the speed sensor hooked up. Did you try datalogging the mph and see if it changes?
To start, any codes?
Also, try setting injector breakpoint to 2.500 for all values, and try this injector offset table.
Those are the settings provided with the newest version of binaryeditor for 42 lb injectors.
If you aren't going to hook it up, how about a lightning 90mm? They're cheap, and it would be easy to get a chip/program a tweecer for it. A 94-95 mustang is 70mm(I think) and will work with the factory 19's without a chip.
Only reason I asked is because I had a horrendous time trying to get a C&L consistantly dialed in. Right now, I'm back to stock until the new motor goes in with the 42's and proflow maf. What computer are you running? Is it a x3z or do you have the fuel shutoff on decel turned on with an a9l?
